Never thought I'd see his name, let alone twice

He had some class fights and should be remembered fondly.

The Amir Khan one is among the best I have ever watched and the Broner win is one of the most enjoyable fights of my time watching boxing.

He also arguably gave Floyd his hardest ever fight ( except Castillo first time ).

Can't argue with any of that, I just didn't think I'd see him listed in anyones top 3

I’m out the loop with domestic goings on, to an extent...I will hazard a guess at:

Frampton, Khan, Degale

Mayweather, Lomachenko, and that little Cuban fellow....think his name might be Willy somebody (I’m only 60% sure that Floyd’s boxed his last one)



It’s actually quite hard this. I think that Selby kid from somewhere in Wales is very capable and highly rated - his last fight just fell through very recently. I hear that the Manchester fighter is good too....Terry Flanagan. I saw Flanagan live when he hammered Nate Campbell, but to be fair Nate Campbell did second least to everybody on the bill, barring Audley (against Wilder). That fight was a huge letdown, as on paper it looked really good and I expected Campbell to bring some game, but he brought nothing.

Also....I’ve noticed over the years that everybody good is generally regarded as “the business”.....until suddenly they become “one dimensional - flat footed - domestically built” after one or two losses.


Ever? Well......too difficult. I will merely name my 3 favourites and that’s Ali, Eubank and Michael Watson.

Frampton could turn out the pick of the bunch....he seems to have the strength, size and the ability to box and adapt. I think that him and Selby would be a brilliant fight.

No I don't rate Clev better than those guys, just that I've supported him more. I like all 4 you mentioned, its just that the Welsh part has probably got me supporting Clev more. And for my sins, I've always liked Haye. Despite all his negative characteristics, I just can't bring myself to stop liking him.
