Win, lose or draw, Joshua to stay humble

#stayhumble

If this fight happened a few years ago I might think it would be a tall order (no pun intended) but I just think Wlad's too old and relatively inactive to really put on it on Joshua and he's hardly done that in over ten years anyway. The last person to be properly and decisively set about was Pulev, who basically made it easy by charging in for 4-5 rounds.

I think there's a very good chance the big Ukrainian could expose AJ, but I'll be cheering on the Brit all the way - he's exactly what boxing needs at the moment
And I'm going to back him at the bookies to do the business in round four.

I'm going with my feeling that Wlad won't be able to pull the trigger, Joshua inside 6.

Joshua 5-8

Anybody who thinks Joshua will gas is making a blind prediction

I don't know if AJ will gas but I want him to win for the sake of heavyweight boxing. There's no way I fancy the 'Klitschko era' being extended by a couple of years tonight.

This is a man who was afraid to take chances against seriously awful opponents - but now he's going to pick apart Anthony Joshua? I'm not hypnotised by the Sky/Hearn hype, but it's obvious Joshua in terms of attitude, fitness and power is leagues above Tony Thompson, Sam Peter, Ruslan Chagaev, and rest of Klitschko's fatty hordes. He was petrified of a Tyson Fury counter, as he was Ibragimov and Haye, but he's going to remain calm and composed with Joshua's fists cocked and ready to fly? It would be very odd for a man to alter his MO this late in his career.

I'm sure his plan is to brilliantly pick apart and punish Joshua, but at 41 versus a man his own size he won't be so evasive and I see him being put to sleep before he can execute any strategy. The number of power shots he throws might be very few.
I'm not as down on the K brothers as Tuan...but I agree completely with this view of how the fight goes...and why it goes that way...

41 year olds stamina has been proven to be terrible. He can only go 12 in dances. Fights he gasses/gets KOd. This will be a fight filled with tension and menace!

I always respect your opinion mr Jim , but we havn't the foggiest of how Joshua himself will react to a war of a fight .

His reaction with that muscle bound physique may well be worse than Wlads .

I can see him falling apart towards the later rounds if he doesn't get the early KO .

As I do yours! I have a horrible vision of a gassed Joshua collapsing in 9, but am recklessly sticking to my Joshua wins by early demolition prediction. He did look alarmingly drained for a couple of rds after Whyte tagged him.

Agreed , that was a very strange reaction from him in that fight from not even a flush shot .

Getting excited now - can't wait !
