Diaz is good, but I don't think he's on Crawford's level. I actually think hardcore fans may be overrating it a bit....

I think that it will be competitive for 5 or 6 rounds (maybe 4-2 Crawford). Then Hitman Jr. takes charge, ends it in 10 or 11 or wins a 9-3ish decision.

To say that Crawford is a great talent I have little interest in his fights. Too one-sided for me to ever root for him. Generates little excitement for me. I hope he steps up to 147 because he could really make it big there.

Agree

Great talent, but I find it hard to get up for his fights.

I enjoy watching him operate. I agree that it is time for him to step up the comp but I think the timing has been right so far. He is not a huge Super Lightweight. I think that he has needed a bit more maturing to reach that size.

I think that they have been waiting on a Pac fight.

Can you imagine what a Crawford vs Spence Jr would look like in a couple of years? I think that's what the future looks like at 147. There's nothing else to do at 140. Time to move up.

Same. Kind of feel the same about Loma. I love watching both he and Crawford go to work but it's hard to get too excited because you know the outcome before it happens.

147 next for Crawford surely.

I think Diaz will be a tough test for Crawford, or at least hope so. Remember he beat Sammy Vasquez, lost a very close decision to Lamont Peterson, and had a close win over Granados. All good boxers. Bud's height and reach advantage will make it difficult for him, but he is game.

As far as him vs Spence, I don't think we will see him at 147 until Spence moves up. I would favor Spence if they fought, but Crawford has a style that he can make a good fight against anyone. Crawford vs Pacquiao is a real possibility for the end of the year, I hope.

Terrence Crawford is starting to put together some names on his record, fair to say at some point he will move to 147 but the question is when.
Looking back at some of his meaningful fights the Postol win looks good on paper and Viktor was a decent opponent, the downside was Crawford ran way too much but he did score the knockdowns and walked it on the cards which gave him any benifit of the doubt.
The road win against Ricky Burns was good for him and gave him some international exposure and proved he had some skills to be taken seriously, very little criticism can be levelled at Crawford he looked good.
But the stoppage of Gamboa really put him on the map primarally because 1 it was a fantastic fight and 2 his personal performance was very impressive for the most part, a full on scrutination would reveal a troubled Gamboa coming in and moving up in weight as well as hurting Crawford a few times.
That said the fight was superb and overshadowed any negative aspects that arose.

Felix Diaz looks hand picked, style wise he can be flat footed and shoots some arm punches that lack power and it's possible Crawford can use his expertise to navigate himself around the ring enough to confuse Diaz as well as present openings and provide defensive shelter if needed.
I don't doubt for a second Felix Diaz is coming to fight and will give it a go, but he's swimming in deep water with the current Terrence Crawford ready to sweep him away down stream.

Felix is a better opponent for Crawford than it was a rusty Gamboa.

Far better. Diaz has the potential to be Crawford's Smokin Joe. Felix is a grinder who wings hooks from all angles, working the body well, wearing his opponents down. He gave Lamont Peterson everything he could handle. He is compact, strong, stays busy and he has more sting than his KO percentage would suggest.

This is a serious test for Crawford. Diaz is like a stalky mongoose who doen't mind taking shots coming in but his head movement and quickness limit the damage. He wears well over 12 rounds. If Hitman Jr. can make easy work out of Diaz, welters beware. But I could see Crawford fighting Mikey.

TCraw has some serious work cut out for him this Saturday, though. He better not be looking past this little devil.

Crawford will win a decision I figure, and I do expect Diaz will give him fits. Diaz probably takes about 2 or 3 rounds along the way. Early in the fight is probably gonna be Diaz's best moments.
