This is true. SFW & Badhusker are the ones actually whining here. They are using a most common intellectually dishonest tactic: attempting to diminish a foe with negative & subjective ad-hominen attacks. By falsely associating Kovalev's (Or the viewer's) assessment of the fight with whining, they are trying to shut down any opposing opinion before it can even be posited. Essentially they are saying that they are tired of people disagreeing with them and wish it would stop all together. They're setting up a scenario in which they can define any disagreement as nothing more than whining and complaining. It doesn't appear to have worked but it is apparent that this was the aim.boxing_rocks wrote:What one motherf*cker (SFW) said and another motherf*cker (Badhusker) supported is a bunch of garbage. Ward will dominate and possibly stop Kovalev. Don't be shocked. Probably hear the count was too fast, stopped too early, etc. Get your whining done ahead of time.

Imagine if it was Ward?

Ward by KO was Iike 10-1 odds. It was literally the only result no one would predict rationally.

Sorry, but nearly all of them are Americans or have Ward as a favorit, Eddy Hearn even got Ward as his P4P nr 1 of the world?! Whilst I cannot deny that many believed that Kovalev was deprived of a victory, there is also an undeniably large contingent of boxing “specialists” (your words) that claim that Ward deserved his win, which is only typical for an evenly-contested bout where there were a few swing rounds.
Simply put: you’re embellishing the situation to preposterous levels!

Sanchez said golovkin beats all from 154-168
Hunter said ward can move up to heavyweight and beat joshua

Oh no, I know there are a lot of nutjobs in the boxing world, but that doesn't mean Ward is any good.Enlightened-One wrote:There's fûck all wrong with my list. Re: Kovalev vs Ward 2: Predictions from an Expert Panel
How close do you need to be to the action to be able to tell they were low? He was standing as close to the action as anybody and it happened 3 times for f*cks sake.
Considering Kovalev was clearly reacting as if to a low blow he knew exactly what he was doing when he stopped the fight. I've never in all my years watching boxing saw a dude react the way Kovalev was reacting to a clean body shot, it's a low blow, or at the very least he's trying to convince the referee it's a low blow.
Kovalev was definitely looking to the ref for help too much, but it was obviously not a moment to stop the fight.
Just means the issue will never be settled with Ward and Kovalev unfortunately, but I strongly got the feeling it was going Ward's away again. Unfortunately it wasn't allowed to run it's natural course so we'll never know what would've happened.
