Punching power 10/10 ?

Post by ValMar »

This is my list (active fighters, only) :

-Anthony Joshua
-Wladimir Klitschko
-David Haye
-Deontay Wilder
-David Price
-Louis Ortiz

I am not sure whether Haye and Price are considered active, but I intentionally put them on this list. I have not put Gassiev, he is still at CW, you have to admit this is a little bit different thing....Don't discuss about skills, chin and stamina, please. This is a thread about punching power.

10/10 = + 95/100

What do you think about this list ?

I think even Briggs hits harder as most of them.

Wilder is the only one I'd give that grade.

Bullshit. Briggs could not finish Zumbabo Love and Joshua made him in 2.

Wilder blasted Liahakovic in one round by brutal fashion and Briggs went distance if i remember.

Haye could not even hurt Bellew who got ktfo by light hw champion rofl.

As for topic -

Klitschko , Wilder hardest one ko punches

Joshua , Ortiz hardest combinations and and best power from close range

Yeah, wlad is close. Joshua is just the best fighter. Ortiz doesn't hit as hard as any of them. He's more of a 7.

Screw hw. 10 in p4p sense.

10/10 is rare. 10/10 means julian jackson power.

10 GGG, joshua, abraham
9,5 spence, thurman, lemieaux
9 canelo, crawford, gonzales

Joshua and Wilder are both undeniably powerful
Not sure I would have Ortiz on the "10/10" list
Haye of old I would have said yes - but since the comeback not enough evidence
Price, despite his shortcomings, does bang

At other weights, GGG seems an obvious shout

Well, maybe you should ask Raphael Zumbano Love himself then, he will tell you Briggs was the biggest puncher he has ever met and because of that played it very defensive from start till end, hoping Briggs would get out of breath.

Jip, my friend, I made this thread about absolute punching power, not p4p......

10/10 = +95/100 = +9,5/10..........

Saad, don't exaggerate....Ortiz 7/10 ?
Jennings, Glazkov, H. Fury, Pulev, Chisora could be 7/10.....Ortiz is a different story....

Why would I exaggerate? You're a highly generous grader.. These guys as above average(which is 5) is comical. Have you seen Ortiz fight lately? He certainly punches harder than all of your 7's, he doesn't punch as hard as Earnie Shavers or George Foreman. C'mon man!!

Crawford a 9??
Where to begin with the nonsense there? He has Thurman a 9.5!!!!!!!

If Crawford had that kind of power, just below Julian Jackson and Hearns, he'd be the GOAT.

I might accept that Ortiz is not 10/10, anyway, I made this thread as a question, but 7/10 is wrong, definitely wrong.

Well, your 7's are beyond wrong. You know when you create a scale like this there are 1's too? There are no definitive there, but I think Ortiz is spot on as a 7. There are club fighters that punch as hard.

Excellent question, with Hughie Fury being well above average God only knows.

We are discussing about the highest level HWs, and it is normal for me that "an average puncher" on this level has punching power 7/10...........
I mentioned Pulev, etc...etc....

Mexi-Box, I have to repeat, this is a thread about absolute power (not p4p).
There is no place for let us say Lemieux, here.
You can open the topic : PUNCHING POWER 10/10 P4P ?
I would take a part in this kind of topic, gladly.

Next time put that on your topic subject, ffs, instead of bleeding from your eyeballs.

Kudryashov and Beterbiev are definitely 10/10 power no matter what, though. Beterbiev was hurting bigger dudes in the amateurs from what I've read and Kudryashov's power is top-tier no matter what division.

Don't be angry, please, I think I have done this precisely in the opening post. Beterbiev and Kudryashov (Gassiev, too) are the beasts, definitely, but they are not (as I know) HWs. Let me remind you about Pacquiao - he was destroyer in FW, SFW, etc...but no more at WW....
