Bellew has already said he wouldn't fight top heavyweight contenders like AJ, Klitschko, or in shape Tyson Fury, simply because they are far to good.
Bellew was willing to fight fakechamps and bums like Daffy Duck, or Wilder for example and probably a lot of other hypejobs.
I know it goes against the grain on here, but I don't think Hearn is responsible for WK retiring.
It is Sky that set the PPV dates per year and Matchroom have to deliver them. If it's timed wrong, or someone drops out then it all goes fanny up.
They did gangbusters for AJ vs WK at Wembley and likely hoped they could do similar for the rematch (if not better on account of it being a great fight).
Pulev is crap IBF fodder and wont do a fraction of the sales. If he had his unbeaten record intact it could have sold, but the fact he got walloped... and it was by Wladmir, puts down any chance of real sales figures from the wider boxing community.

Little bit too harsh and unfair. I dislike Hearn as much as most, and even cancelled Sky Sports after 21 years due to the monopoly and how his shite cards are ruining the sport for me and I even joined in slating AJ as a paper champion for a while but come on now, time to behave. AJ just fought a guy who most would say is the consensus number 2 or at worse 3 (if we say Tyson being inactive puts him off the list) and beat him in one hell of a fight. He then agreed to a rematch with the same guy so your slating is six months out of date.

I also said "for the most part" regarding Fast Eddie's delivery of good nights. He's had some shocking PPV's.
Thoroughly enjoyed Brook/Gavin's undercard from what I remember, because I didn't pay.

The good outweigh the bad IMO, majority of his fight nights are solid too. Sex sells, and this is filthy promotion from him, it's why he's winning the battle with Warren. Warren puts on more entertaining fight nights whilst Eddie gets the casual entertained with Campbell, Quigg, Crolla & Bellew.
The Brook Gavin main event was rubbish but the undercard was great. Selby in a well matched world title fight, Mitchell Linares in a great fight, Joshua making a step up and smashing someone to bits.
People on here hate this idea, but the reality is most people who went to that went home happy.

Surely he can only fight who is there,if not ortiz or pulev who else is there? Wilder talks a good fight but he is also in the bum of the month club knocking out tomato cans so in your humble opinion who should joshua fight?

As said, AJ vs Pulev very acceptable for me, just hope the undercard is legit.
To be fair, his opening run of world title opponents were open to criticism.
Martin gave up, Breazeale was tough but not great and Molina is simply not world level.
Over all Joshuas career has been solid, Whyte was a good test at British level, he did skip Euro level as you say and Klitschko is as good a win as any heavy has now.
Add to that he will now be tested in big fights over the next couple years.
But there was a point he recieved deserved criticism and it was starting to look like his career was going to follow the path of Deontay Wilders
They were terrible world title opponents, but they weren't bad opponents for Joshua at that stage of his career. He just shouldn't have got the title until he fought Klitschko.
