Rigondeaux might have a chance on the basis of how long he's been perceived as top 10 p4p (up to 4 years). But, in his entire career, he's only fought 4 opponents with a boxrec rating > 100. Whereas Marco Huck has fought 14, Antonio Margarito has fought 18, Arthur Abraham has fought 21, Zab Judah has fought 24, Lucian Bute has fought 17, and Celestino Caballero has fought 14. In other words, Rigondeaux's professional career barely exists. Too short, not enough activity, not enough good opponents.

I don't see Stevenson having a chance. He's never breached the top 10 p4p, only has 9 world title fights, and is a 1-weight world champ. As old as he is, it's unlikely that he's going to get his quantity of title fights up much. He's only like 35% of the way to an induction right now. He needs more big wins, a lot more longevity, more money, more fame, and a very dramatic spike in his p4p ranking.

I don't expect Margarito to get in. I was just using those various fighters, none of whom will get in, as reference points to compare Rigondeaux.

I know what you meant. You were comparing those statistics. There are different ways boxers get in to the Hall of Fame: involvement in Fights of the Year like Arturo Gatti, quality of opposition, popularity, amount of titles and defenses, etc. Because of the cheating, I don't think Margarito can get in even with his resume. Possible cheating may have happened in the past such as his wins over Kermit Cintron.

I agree with you. He needs at least two or three big wins against either future Hall of Famers or best in his division such as unifications.

Acelino Freitas is a bust IMO. His biggest win was a GIFT decision over Casamayor and he quit like a dog vs both Corrales and Diaz.

Even a homer like Rafael would probably consign Freitas to the Cowards HOF.

I'd like to add Juan Francisco "Pollito" Estrada to the "Not Yet...But" List. His only loss in the past 6 years was to Chocolatito Gonzalez and he's beaten both Viloria and then-unbeaten Milan Melindo. He fights once-beaten Carlos Cuadras (whose only loss was to Chocolatito) in a few weeks:
