Meaning of asterisks on records on boxrec?

Looking through fighter records, I've noticed every fighter has asterisks on their records. For example, on Andre Ward's record there is an asterisk on Sakio Zika; Danny Garcia has an asterisk on Zab Judah; Erik Morales has one on Pablo Cano. Anyone figure out what these mean?
