Tank screwed up. It probably cost him between 50-100 K. The guy he was fighting had a good record from fighting bums and he was from Costa Rica who has never produced a champion boxer from the ams to the pros. Tank didn't take it seriously and Fonseca showed a good chin. Hopefully his coaches get him back to beast mode and he learns a lesson from this. He should have never come in heavy and the coaches should take the blame for that. If he can't make the weight anymore then it's time to move up.

Sure is power developed. Julian jackson, had he wasted his prime years watching tv and eating 10 cheeseburger a day he wouldve not been an atg puncher.

But you can develop power just to a certain level. Paulie can develop and train as hardcore as he wants he ll never be a good puncher. Davis aint a good puncher, he is phenomenal one nd he was born with it and training was the key to unlock the door, but just for him and a few other. Weak puncher can train all they want, they ll never unlock the door cause they werent born with it.

Hearns always had fantastic power. He t/ko 17 of his first 17 opponents. So shut up and be quiet if you dont know what you talking about.
Not entirely true. Emmanuel Steward said plenty of times that he helped Hearns develop his power as a pro and that he wasn't a puncher as an amateur.
Correct mate thanks for backing my point. Jip is not a boxing historian I dont think and appears to go by stats?

TRUE - but Hearn's didn't know HOW to punch as a amateur, it wasn't that he couldn't punch.

If you don't know how to throw a punch...you can't punch. Just like if you don't know how to drive, you can't drive. If you don't know how to shoot a basketball, you can't shoot a basketball.

I dont care what nonsense is written their.

When you t/ko 99% of your first 30 opponents than you got natural power. End of story. You and saad ard delusionals.

No matter if it was valero, bailey, tito, abraham, ggg, hamed, tua, hagler or hearns, they ALWAYS had punching power

I guess Fonseca has an ATG chin too? Your love for the sport seems too genuine to call you a troll. On the flipside your general lack of understanding with the sport and ATG stupid opinions makes it hard to believe you're not a troll. Are you an enigma or an enema?

Hearns obviously had it in his physical make up to punch big, but it was manny steward that brought it out of him. He wasn't a big puncher jip prior to this.

Sometimes it's better to admit you're wrong and just take in the information on offer

He was a puncher in the amateurs, he was always a puncher....

He just wasn't using the correct technique. The power was always there.

Kind of like if you have a screwdriver and a spanner, he had the tools - but was using a screwdriver to tighten a bolt

But he ALWAYS had the tools....

That literally makes no sense

David haye was a puncherin the ams. He was badly hurting opponents. Even when fatigued at the end of a world tournament he almost took out orlander solis. If it weren't for head guards the hayemaker would have been knocking more people out cold

In the ams Hearns wasn't a puncher. He was a good boxer, and obviously had it in his make up to punch big, but he wasn't a big puncher early. Check my ny times article

What a huge F-up this was for Davis. Up until Saturday, this kid was becoming one of my favorite boxers to watch. The slot that Davis was given in this fight card Saturday will probably equate to the most viewers ever to witness a non main event fight in history I'm guessing. First he misses weight which is unforgivable given the magnitude of the opportunity. Then his performance was subpar as well to the point where the crowd hated him and boo'd him for the first time in his career here in states for his antics as well.

Floyd can't be happy as Davis was supposed to be his cash cow. Davis has used this "I'm young and i'm still learning" excuses already too many times at this stage in his career. This could end up being a Broner type disappointment and Floyd may be to blame for both.

Everything isn't Floyd's fault. I remember when a ton of people on here were bitching about Floyd taking the kids spotlight away by talking too much after his fight. I explained that davis doesn't like talking, after the fight you see why. He and Broner are grown ass men.

You are wrong. Even if it's in someone's physical makeup, if they don't utilize it to punch harder, they don't. If they have bad hands or shoulders, they won't punch hard either. I'm sure there are boxers who don't hit hard simply because they haven't learned properly but in the ring, they can't punch. I'm sure if Malignaggi and Calzaghe didn't have bad hands, they would've been harder punchers.

Floyd didn't take his fight very seriously. He wasn't even sparring saving his hands. So, Davis looked up and didn't take his fight seriously. Not a good excuse anyway.

Calzaghe used to be a hard puncher before his hands went
