Tank screwed up. It probably cost him between 50-100 K. The guy he was fighting had a good record from fighting bums and he was from Costa Rica who has never produced a champion boxer from the ams to the pros. Tank didn't take it seriously and Fonseca showed a good chin. Hopefully his coaches get him back to beast mode and he learns a lesson from this. He should have never come in heavy and the coaches should take the blame for that. If he can't make the weight anymore then it's time to move up.

Hearns obviously had it in his physical make up to punch big, but it was manny steward that brought it out of him. He wasn't a big puncher jip prior to this.

David haye was a puncherin the ams. He was badly hurting opponents. Even when fatigued at the end of a world tournament he almost took out orlander solis. If it weren't for head guards the hayemaker would have been knocking more people out cold

In the ams Hearns wasn't a puncher. He was a good boxer, and obviously had it in his make up to punch big, but he wasn't a big puncher early. Check my ny times article

What a huge F-up this was for Davis. Up until Saturday, this kid was becoming one of my favorite boxers to watch. The slot that Davis was given in this fight card Saturday will probably equate to the most viewers ever to witness a non main event fight in history I'm guessing. First he misses weight which is unforgivable given the magnitude of the opportunity. Then his performance was subpar as well to the point where the crowd hated him and boo'd him for the first time in his career here in states for his antics as well.

Floyd can't be happy as Davis was supposed to be his cash cow. Davis has used this "I'm young and i'm still learning" excuses already too many times at this stage in his career. This could end up being a Broner type disappointment and Floyd may be to blame for both.
