I know 100%he does not have a good chin as I am not a huge puncher at crusierweight or heavyweight and I hurt him bad with 20oz gloves on enough to if they was the 10oz fight gloves he would have been stretched and I told his manager before his first loss in my hometown that he shouldn't fight at heavyweight because they hit alot harder then I do with littler gloves and they didn't listen and he got stretched with that being said this argument has nothing to do with the fight that's happening but it is a great bet that the fight doesn't go the distance for surelookingaround87 wrote:It's not a great insight at all. Clearly Durodola has a very good chin. He's eaten shots from hard punchers like Kud and Briedis. I see no evidence he has "no chin at all".mpurintun wrote:Great insight Galen. Getting TKO'd at HW doesn't mean you don't have a good chin.GalenBadBoyBrown wrote:I told his manager before his first loss in my hometown that he shouldn't fight at heavyweight because they hit alot harder then I do with littler gloves and they didn't listen and he got stretched

Kudryashow for me. Raw power.
Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
no it doesn't but as Galen has already explained getting hurt by a guy that isn't a puncher with big gloves on is an indication he doesn't hold a shot too welllookingaround87 wrote:Getting TKO'd at HW doesn't mean you don't have a good chin.GalenBadBoyBrown wrote:I told his manager before his first loss in my hometown that he shouldn't fight at heavyweight because they hit alot harder then I do with littler gloves and they didn't listen and he got stretched

Watch the second fight with Kud and tell me he has a bad chin.littlepug wrote:no it doesn't but as Galen has already explained getting hurt by a guy that isn't a puncher with big gloves on is an indication he doesn't hold a shot too welllookingaround87 wrote:Getting TKO'd at HW doesn't mean you don't have a good chin.GalenBadBoyBrown wrote:I told his manager before his first loss in my hometown that he shouldn't fight at heavyweight because they hit alot harder then I do with littler gloves and they didn't listen and he got stretched

Dorticos, probably within 6.
Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
Kudryashov is amazing puncher so I think he will win and I hope that.
Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
Kud is too crude to beat anyone at world level. Question is Doritos Boy world level? Not sure but I still expect him to win here.
Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
Dorticos
Gonna be a shootout! Kudryashov either shoots you down or gets shot down in flames, and Dorticos has a hellacious KO percentage as well. Hard to imagine anything, but a KO one way or the other here.
Kud's been stopped before, and has shown questionable stamina so I'm favoring Dorticos, but a puncher like Kudryashov though. You can never be too sure.

Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
I've not seen enough of either to really form an opinion, so this is just an impression. Dorticos is the more complete fighter and has a big advantage in speed. He has a good right hand and throws a particularly decent right uppercut from a variety of distances. He seems to have good powers of recovery but initial reaction to getting clipped is not so good - I've seen him badly wobbled.
He has good skills but seems too easily drawn into a war, when if he stayed on the outside he could make his life a lot easier. I think that's the key to this fight - if Dorticos can stay disciplined he should be able to win relatively easily, but if his natural tendency to get stuck-in takes over, I think that the murderous punching Kudryashov is likely to knock him clean out.
Good to see Mr. Galen Brown on this board. There's many familiar names on that record, some of them very respectable indeed. I'vs seen your name many times when studying records. I aways think it's one thing to fight a guy like Fedosov when you're Bryant Jennings, but much respect to those not quite so blessed, who have the courage to take on someone so formidable. It's always good to get the input of an active fighter especially one who has been in the ring with one or better yet, both the boxers being discussed,

Yeah, they're both susceptible to each other's best punch, which is really the only reason to pick Kudryashov, otherwise Dorticos is pretty much better at every thing.

I can't believe I have to stream a foty candidate title fight fornicating 3 hours from my home. Yeah Rafael, keep laughing at us saying boxing is dead here.
Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
Not trying to pick a winner, but some things I wanted to point out about Dorticos...
-This guy is kind of inactive (16 months), and kind of old to still be on the come up.
-6' 3", 80" wingspan. That's pretty sick for cruiserweight. Even Yoan Pablo Hernandez only had a 77" wingspan. Guillermo Jones only had a 76" wingspan. He fights kind of like Tommy Hearns or Gilberto Ramirez, looping his long-ass hooks around your guard and hitting you in the kidneys... from a distance.

Is this fight on American TV, how can it be seen and what time is it thanks in advance. I have seen the Russian guy fight and I wasn't impressed. He is just a slugger with guts. I haven't seen the Cuban fight but hear is good with lots of Amaetur experience. I hope the Russian wins as he looks to be quiet a character but don't think he takes victory..
Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
It's absurd. The KO victor of this fight has to turn around and get KOd by Gassiev next, but no American TV. Sick tournament.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I can't believe I have to stream a foty candidate title fight effing 3 hours from my home. Yeah Rafael, keep laughing at us saying boxing is dead here.

HBO is looking for ways to spend money. I get the logistics of most fights being in the afternoon but it's hard to believe Schaefer was too demanding on the price near the end of any negotiations. I was hoping for awe. Potentially the best thing to happen to boxing since black fighters started getting a fair shake(over half a century) and even a dying sport here is a large market, and it's not on anywhere.Blodhemn wrote:It's absurd. If you find out let me know. The lack of publicity or good presentation of a prestigious Tournament like this is crazy. You'd think they would've at least secured a deal to air it online somewhere they could announce FFS.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:If you find out let me know. Don't know how in the hell Schaefer is gonna be able to pay the Tournament winners $25 million. This thing has gotta be hemorrhaging money.
This is the 3rd week of World Boxing Super Series Tournament fights, and every week they've been doing it it wasn't even the news of the Boxing World THAT day.
Re: WBSS: Dorticos vs. Kudryashov. Who do you bet?
Has Dorticos shown a suspect chin in any of his fights?Blodhemn wrote:Yeah, they're both susceptible to each other's best punch, which is really the only reason to pick Kudryashov, otherwise Dorticos is pretty much better at every thing.

I don't know how much the world wide rights being sold make up for the lack of the US TV interest.gilgamesh wrote:The lack of publicity or good presentation of a prestigious Tournament like this is crazy.
