Yea that's what I heard. Confirmed as far as Parker goes to 1.8 USD by his manager. Already paid :oo
Me thinks someone from tonight's show ain't getting their bread. Maybe not the top 3 matches, but someone might have to chase a cheque. I'd ask for cash

I can't see why this wasn't on BaxNotion/BT.
Presumably whilst this was on, BN just repeated one of their magazine shows or a previous card.

I can only think that Fwank has fallen out with Mick and/or Peter. And now Mick has lost money on a world title fight featuring a Brit in his home city accompanied by his notorious brother. If my mind serves me correctly, the Furys started fighting on BaxNotion in 2014 because they pretty much outgrew Channel 5. Now they are roaming from network to network, mirroring their roaming heritage. I hope for boxing's sake, they settle at iTV.

Fury's purse would have been whatever was agreed with Mick and Peter. Parker would have got c.£1m as per the original purse bid.

Parker will be looking for cash out v AJ asap as that's a good few fights he's looked really average - he won't want to miss the payday.

I agree, often fighters seem to want to avoid the best but AJ generates so much money, I think everyone will want a shot, could see him holding all four belts by the end of next year. :box:

For boxings sake, I'd like Hughie to fûck right off. He was never deserving of a title fight, paper or otherwise. Boring fighter, shite puncher.

He was tipped to beat Mike Tyson to a title

They are incredible purses for an event that never took off.
My guess is that it was done as a loss leader to get the title and whatever was lost last night would have been recouped several times over with an AJ fight. Maybe Mick had done a deal to share the costs of this fight and split future profits. Who knows but with Hughie falling short someone has lost big on Parker/Fury.

The daft thing is, they were offered AJ and turned it down because Hearn didn't offer them enough money, but they are fighting men, who will fight anyone anytime and they aren't in it for the money.

Yeh probably right, when you look at it like that what a massive gamble and show of faith in the young Fury. I can only see that it's come out of
desperation to get a seat back at the top table. Gamble failed.

He hasn't done anything profile-wise, or performance-wise to warrant such a purse. I'd think he'd be grateful to get a couple of hundred K and the chance to land the belt. What would his biggest purse have been previously? £50k - £100k absolute max?
