Yes! He definitely says Lewiston! Clearlyboxingknockout wrote:Is Ron calling him ‘Lewiston’???

I guess they figured that Lewison would probably collapse from exhaustion before round 10 and provide a KO first win.

I hope lewiston understand what he means be feinting - i have a feeling it could be a different kind of feint after 10 rds.

Tbf Haye said he never put Lewison down in sparring pre fight and I thought that was more about them expecting Joyce to KO him

I'm not going to pretend I have anything to teach an Olympic silver medalist about the sport but he seems to get so little hip into his punches that it's no wonder he doesn't seem like a big puncher.
Still, he is handling the fight well so far as far as pacing himself goes.

This guy is Dillian Whyte's best win (thought Chisora beat him) - and a debutant just beat him in quicker time.

Joyce has a good engine. That's about it.
Re: Round-By-Round - Joe Joyce vs. Ian Lewison - October 20th 2017
He has a good engine and chin - with HW boxing as is today, he will fight for one of the 'world' belts at some pointjamesmcdonnell wrote:Joyce ain't going beyond British level. No power at all.

I think he goes further than British, but not much further.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Joyce ain't going beyond British level. No power at all.
Thing is, it’s an easy angle to work for the AJ fight. Get him rated and bam, Joshua has himself an easy, domestic money title defence.

No power at all , not very fast and doesn’t seem to have enough spite for the pros.
I would have liked to have seen him really put it on Lewinson , he kept backing off and letting him have recovery time. Get that heavy bag outa there!!

Dubois is Southern area.
Gorman is English.
Sexton is British.
Wonder if they will take him towards one of those in his next few fights.

He's alright. But a bit stiff and not exceptional. At 32 he hasn't got a great deal of time to learn all that, IMO. Maybe he can get to world level, hard to tell for sure.
I thought it was a better 1st opponent than most Amateur medalists get, so credit to the guy.

I'm actually warming to Ronald, I don't know how he comes out with all that stuff so quick, I actually laughed out loud a couple of times at his lunacy/brilliance
