Re: Tyson Fury UKAD Hearing Starts Monday, Facing 4 Year Ban
Should point out the Board of Control and WADA have a right to take this to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland to extend the ban if they want to.
BBOC won't, outside chance WADA might

True re Whyte and Ortiz ( the Whyte case is a bit different but that's not the point)mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 15:37Whyte and Ortiz are convicted drug cheats, AJ a convicted drug dealer, even Wilder was caught with drugs in the car. As I've said all along UKAD are not fit for purpose there needs to be serious investigations into how they operate.
The 16 months delay in charging them for the doping violation still hasn't been explained and that is ultimately why Tyson has been cleared of refusing a drugs test and why the case has ended in a compromise . I expecting him to be banned for the refusal and cleared for the Nandrolone.
People can celebrate about Fury coming back but Tyson and Hughie are now convicted drugs cheats.
Mentioning AJ and Wilder in this context is irrelevant.
Nandrolone is a banned PED which some well known athletes have popped for previously.
Did Tyson take it intentionally ? We don't know. UKAD definitely don't know that's why this situation has been a shambles from start to finish.
But the fact is they came to a compromise and Tyson and Hughie served bans as a result of testing positive for a banned substance.
This means they are both convicted drug cheats.

Virtually everyone in this thread is discussing the subject matter.

Well, he's now a fat bastard and a convicted drug cheat.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 15:47 Nearly as stupid as a poster who called Tyson a fat bastard who couldn't be bothered to defend himself only yesterday? Whilst Tysons lawyers had already sorted the deal out![]()
As a big Tyson fan, I wonder why you're celebrating this. He could have been found innocent of all charges. Indeed, many said that would happen and UKAD were facing bankruptcy. Instead he's now a two year banned drug cheat. It casts a huge shadow over his career.

In a court of law, someone supplying drugs (AJ) would get a much harsher penalty than someone taking them...Naandrew wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 16:09True re Whyte and Ortiz ( the Whyte case is a bit different but that's not the point)mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 15:37Whyte and Ortiz are convicted drug cheats, AJ a convicted drug dealer, even Wilder was caught with drugs in the car. Does it? Nobody mentions it when Whyte boxes or the countless others are discussed from RJJ to Holyfield.dirk2686 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 16:29Well, he's now a fat bastard and a convicted drug cheat.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 15:47 Nearly as stupid as a poster who called Tyson a fat bastard who couldn't be bothered to defend himself only yesterday? Most people think AJ shouldn't have been guilty of a crime in fairness.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 16:30In a court of law, someone supplying drugs (AJ) would get a much harsher penalty than someone taking them...Naandrew wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 16:09True re Whyte and Ortiz ( the Whyte case is a bit different but that's not the point)mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 15:37

AJ pleaded guilty, was suspended from the Olympic team and got community service! Who thought he was innocent? He admits everything in every interview I've ever seen with him on the subject!

So 1 person then. And that was a crap attempt at a joke.
Re: Tyson Fury UKAD Hearing Starts Monday, Facing 4 Year Ban
This case has nothing to do with AJ.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 16:30In a court of law, someone supplying drugs (AJ) would get a much harsher penalty than someone taking them...Naandrew wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 16:09True re Whyte and Ortiz ( the Whyte case is a bit different but that's not the point)mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 15:37

I'm glad its over. Fury fights again next year and UKAD prove how much of a joke they are. People will just sweep this under the rug when he fights Joshua anyway.
But no matter how anyone looks at it they have served bans for testing positive for a banned substance.

And as I keep saying... Sky never mentioned neither Whyte or Joshua's notorious drug pasts when hyping their fight, despite one serving a ban, the other a court punishment. Poor Tyson has done his time.

They think it shouldn't have been a crime in the first place.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 16:40 AJ pleaded guilty, was suspended from the Olympic team and got community service! Who thought he was innocent? He admits everything in every interview I've ever seen with him on the subject!
You know a few things about alcohol Mick. If that was illegal Joshua would have been don for the equivalent of having a few bottles of wine in his car. Hey ho.
Tyson has admitted to a PED violation and accepted a two year ban.
Re: Tyson Fury UKAD Hearing Starts Monday, Facing 4 Year Ban
Whytes ban has been mentioned loads of times. And they have put Joshua's back story front right and centre numerous times. It might not fit your narrative but they have.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 17:02 And as I keep saying... It’s a shame he isn’t fighting the conviction but I guess that means more time and effort etc
Whyte’s ban does get mentioned, but then again he’s not particularly relevant when we are talking about world class heavyweights.
Holyfield and RJJ are forever tainted and both were clear juicers, in eyes of many boxing fans anyway.
This’ll be brought up more than the others, especially when you take in to account how unpopular Tyson is in the media

Ok... I know a lot more about possession with intent to supply of cannabis, and I think it was a 9 he got caught with, hardly equates to a few bottles of wine! The judge was friendlier than the ones he had in London 2012!dirk2686 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 17:08They think it shouldn't have been a crime in the first place.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2017, 16:40 AJ pleaded guilty, was suspended from the Olympic team and got community service!
