If I was Usyk's - ha ha - hair dresser I would have advised him to leave that trademarked bang he used to sport. It made him look even scarier and crazier. He has that "mad Russian" look in his eyes - like me! - I like that.

Usyk vs Briedis (with at least 1 undercard fight i guess because it seems pretty early for main event) is scheduled 20:15 GMT

Thanks! 20:15 GMT = 3:15PM ET.

He had enough power to get Joe Joyce's respect when he fought in WSB. Usyk is way too good for the HW's. What happens at CW will have no bearing on how Usyk does at HW. Usyk cleans out HW easy.

I wouldn't go that far, but I do think he'd be able to beat most Heavyweights handily. It's only the guys at the very top (Wilder and Joshua) that would be trouble for him. Those guys aren't as skilled as him, but a size advantage which they'd both have certainly counts when it's that big of one. This isn't to say he couldn't beat them, but he'd definitely have hell with 'em.

I'd want to see how he performs against lesser Heavyweights first. Though I see no reason why he couldn't go for a Top 10 type guy straight away. Maybe an Andy Ruiz or someone of that ilk.

We're getting ahead of ourselves though. He's still got at least 2 guys awaiting him at Cruiserweight that are plenty dangerous, and shouldn't be looked past.

so it seems that before main event (except this fight) still left 4 fights (Grisunins vs Darmos, Hrgovic vs Little, Nielsen vs Bolotniks, Kongolo vs Pokumeiko)

i said it before somewhere on the forum but i will repeat it - Povetkin vs Usyk is a dream fight imo (Povetkin seems a little past it so far, but still he got enough in his tank to make this fight great, both fighters got great skills, while different style, nice clash of styles)

Closest to a Klitschko I've seen.

Dychko is no good, too slow. But Hrgovic is not only big, he's quick and athletic.

Hrgovic was robbed in the Olympics, he should have advanced to the Gold medal round.

It will not be easy, but Usyk will defeat Briedis (and the ref/judges) in the pretty dirty match - a lot of holding, clinching and wrestling by Briedis.

disappointed by Hrgovic in this fight a little bit, he gets punched too easy, but he is still young
they are fighting in Paffens, they are known for being pillow-alike
i wonder why Klitschko fought in Paffens vs Joshua

i dont think Usyk lets Briedis to clinch a lot and effectively
Briedis is different fighter than Glowacki but i expect similar outcome of this fight, expect Usyk to be rather cautious, not like in fight vs Huck
