People suggesting AJ can’t take a shot .
Not many fighters would’ve got up from the shot Wlad landed on AJ.

Happy I caught the second half of this fight. Wilder looked like shit, but again his power is crazy, you can't count the guy out until he's laying unconscious on the canvas. I thought for sure Ortiz was going to get the stoppage in the 7th, Wilder took a much better shot than I thought he would.

After watching that, I think AJ beats Wilder. Not easily, because Wilder could land something big at any moment and put his lights out. Would be fornicating awesome to see that fight by the end of the year.

Wilder looked like he was still sick tonight.

I assume that no one give a shît about the Kovalev-Mikhalkin fight? Even the crowd in New York seems rather quiet and bored watching that one.

Does Ortiz continue to be avoided? He showed good skills tonight. Maybe a select few call him out. Who knows?

Yeah, my opinion of his chin is it's fine. Not bad, not great.

It's gass tank that I think Wilder really has the edge.

By the way, if anyone is interested, Kovalev has busted-up Mikhalkin’s face quite severely, to the point the referee and the doctor at ringside had to check the state of Igor’s face at the start of the seventh. The fight will inevitably get stopped soon.

The Krusher doesn’t appear to be on form tonight, but is still winning the fight comfortably.

Krusher wins the Mikhalkin bout by seventh round stoppage, due to cuts. Kovalev looked very sloppy and defensively irresponsible tonight.

What an amazing athlete.

Forget about Wilder's power. Even his detractors recognized that he can crack like few others.

But tonight Wilder demonstrated the solid chin that many doubted existed, the ability to absorb heavy shots from a monster puncher, along with the courage to withstand adversity, suck it up and come back to win emphatically.

All the attributes of a great fighter.

Keep ridiculing Wilder. Keep predicting his demise.

He'll just keep on winning.

And frighteningly for the rest of the heavyweight division, Wilder will only get better.

Great win for Wilder. A come from behind win for him in spite of the fact that the judges dishonestly had him ahead in the fight heading into the 10th.

They also gave him extra recovery time at the beginning of the 8th for some reason.

A great win for Wilder though, and he showed a lot of grit to make it through the 7th round as he was very badly hurt there.

He's definitely a tremendously dangerous puncher, and that can't be discounted against anybody he'd face. He's also fast, and explosive and possesses a hell of a killer instinct when he hurts his opponent.

I didn't really see any technical improvement in his skills in the fight tonight though, but he definitely doesn't lose cool if he's behind, and he keeps throwing with mean intentions. It worked against Szpilka, and it worked tonight.

With his power he can beat any active Heavyweight.

He has glaring vulnerabilities but has thus far been able to walk right past them with his hands raised. It's actually quite exciting he has finally joined the division; there are some fun matchups out there for him :box:

The problem with delaying a joshua fight is that you are giving deontay time to fix his vulnerabilities.

If this fight was against AJ joshua might have won. In 12 months time I am not so sure.

Wilder's vulnerabilities from throughout his career were still the same vulnerabilities he showed tonight. I think he's done improving, but he'll stay as good as he is now for a while longer.

He's 40 fights into his career and still windmills punches like somebody from a backyard Iowa tough man contest. His vulnerabilities won't be fixed, especially since he and his team won't see the need since he has that power.

If anything each fight gives his potential opponents more and more chances to study those vulnerabilities, and take advantage.

That's a good question.
In the fight tonight he had minimal corner advice. His ego is pretty big too. I haven't seen much change in him except a lot less windmilling tonight.

He has improved quite a bit from last year. He fell down from poor footwork when he missed a punch. His defense was worse.

He still hasn't learned to clinch ot walk backward with hands down.

i honestly have not seen much improvement at all from the first stiverne fight

hes always had great natural gifts that can get him very far and imo have made him better then all but aj

but as far as technical stuff goes, i really think hes still quite flawed and not showing much change
