Agree with most of what you wrote but not Chisora. Dereck needs to win a fight against someone top 100 first and then preferably top 15 and I don't think he can wib at that level anymore, he is journeyman status. Agit Kaybel should be on your list as he beat Chisora. We are going to see Joe Joyce - Chisora soon so I think hes not worthy. Pulev is still decent too.RandomUsername wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 13:20 We all know that Deontay is going to make Stiverine III "The thrilla for vanilla" next and I dont think that its cool but which opponents would you guys consider acceptable?
My list goes like.
Whyte
Chisora
Kownacki kid who beat szpilka
AJ
Parker
Andy Ruiz
Takam
One of the Furies
Or good old Povetkin.
I wouldnt scream Ducker Deontay if he fought Kubrat Pulev but then again it wouldnt be interesting.
The cruiserweight kid Breiidis would also be accceptable for me but I think that some would criticize that choice of opponents.
Anyway.... get ready buy that PPV Wilder VS Stiverine III... we all know that its coming.
Deontay Wilder - Acceptable opponents?

Re: Deontay Wilder - Acceptable opponents?
Anybody in the Top 10
Or hell yeah I wouldn't even mind Kownacki even though I don't rate him Top 10 at the moment.
But I mean Dillian Whyte or Jarrell Miller work. Breazeale ain't the worst in the world, but I'd rather not see him get a shot at a fight like that unless he can score another big win.
Obviously AJ is the dream opponent, but if Wilder just keeps fighting legitimate contenders it's acceptable for me for the time being.
I can absolutely guarantee you he's not going to fight Stiverne a 3rd time. Hell in fact I wouldn't be too shocked if that 2nd Wilder fight is the last we ever see of Stiverne in a prize ring.

Re: Deontay Wilder - Acceptable opponents?
I don't imagine any of those Chinese Heavies would do well against any Top 25 guy in the division.
Breazeale's fights are very fun so he'd be acceptable, but kinda meh because he'd still be the heavy underdog.
Oscar Rivas I rate in the Top 20 but he doesn't get to fight as often as I'd like to see him. I'd rather see Rivas fight a few more other contenders first before getting a title shot, but he's a guy I have my eye on certainly.

Re: Deontay Wilder - Acceptable opponents?
Even Stiverne is currently a top 25, Stiverne would lose within the first round. And also against guys like Efe Ajagba, Dubois, Secola, Smakici, Plechko, Joyce, Demirezen and so forth.gilgamesh wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 13:49I don't imagine any of those Chinese Heavies would do well against any Top 25 guy in the division.
