Eaten too many crayons....
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
Source? by the looks of it as the weigh in looks like it only happened. . He will have a couple of hours to lose the excess pounds.

Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
I'd be very surprised if Quigg failed to make weight , especially up at Featherweight, although I did think the same about Frampton
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
Did they say 128.8 for Quigg?
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
Yes he is over. I deleted because it looked like he hadn't. But his interview he said he was 3lb over yesterday but couldnt lose the weight today.
He can't retry to lose the weight as he is over 2 lb over. Fight is still on, but I bet hes going to lose a good amount of cash.

Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
2lb over - California law says he can’t now lose that weight, & the fight goes ahead regardless
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight

Probably won’t make much difference because he probably won’t win, but if he does it’s still a massive win for him, even without the title.

Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
Scott by all accounts is an absolutely obsessive trainer, so probably there is just no way he can make feather, as they have just realised
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
I didn't know Valdez spoke perfect English. I thought he was 100% Mexican? Is he mixed race or did he just grow up in the US from a very young age?
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
Strange though considering he consistently got himself down to super-bantam just a couple of years ago. Same thing happened with Frampton.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑09 Mar 2018, 18:34 Scott by all accounts is an absolutely obsessive trainer, so probably there is just no way he can make feather, as they have just realised

Terrible from Quigg. Disgusting.

You c*nt
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
This is a problem with the extreme weight cutting that is standard these days. A boxer's body will just refuse to give up the fluids one day despite them doing their usual routine and they will have no clue it's about to happen as the only time they are ever within 10lbs of their weigh in weight is fight week.
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
I've been to the town he's from. It's half in Mexico half in America. Just south of Tuscon Arizona.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑09 Mar 2018, 18:37Very much American Mexican.
Judging by the near silence at the weigh in, neither of these guys has a fan base.
Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
Quigg is 2.5 over the limit, I doubt he'll make the weight.
Does that mean the fight goes ahead and the title will remain with Valdez regardless of the result ?

Re: Scott Quigg - missed the weight
How does that work ?
Valdez makes weight Quigg doesn't.
Quigg can't win the strap but if Valdez loses then the title becomes vacant ... is that what your saying ?
