After Whyte's win over Browne, and Chisora's loss to Agit, I think there's a good case to rank Whyte higher.forcefraser wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 18:03Then we should have Chisora ahead of Whyte, as he beat him.

Deffo. There's a few discrepancies but I couldn't be arsed winging through it so I've said its a fair list. Brook should be above Crolla as well like someone has mentioned earlier but tbh I couldn't do a better list so I can't moan too much! Least he has a go

Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 14:48This is true. Can't argue with that. Brook lost to GGG and Spence and Crolla lost twice to Linares.
Since.. Crolla beat Burns which is better than Brook beating Rabchenko.
Re: British Top 30 P4P May 2018
Crolla also lost to Youssef Al Hamidi, Gary Sykes, got knocked out by Derry Matthews. lost again to Gary Sykes, managed a draw with Derry Matthews, drew with world no. 413 Gamaliel Diaz and drew with Darleys Perez.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 14:48This is true. These are updated rankings. It's not an overall all-time ranking list. Horse updates it every month.BigDoofus wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 07:38Crolla also lost to Youssef Al Hamidi, Gary Sykes, got knocked out by Derry Matthews. lost again to Gary Sykes, managed a draw with Derry Matthews, drew with world no. 413 Gamaliel Diaz and drew with Darleys Perez.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 14:48This is true. All-time British list, Brook would be above Crolla.

I agree. The point is you can`t use an argument for placing someone in a certain position based on who you THINK won the fight.Stuarty wrote: ↑01 May 2018, 19:40Deffo. Martin Murray did not beat Martinez according to the judges. Some people thought he did. Some people also thought Chisora beat Whyte. Pot black kettle calling good for goose good for gander

I had Chisora beating Whyte.forcefraser wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 09:25I agree. The point is you can`t use an argument for placing someone in a certain position based on who you THINK won the fight.

I'm a Taylor fanboy but even with that being said, a win and impressive performance against Postol should see him crack the top 10.
Re: British Top 30 P4P May 2018
Even though I disagree with a few of the rankings, I do always enjoy seeing Horse's top 30. He clearly puts a lot of effort into it.
It also shows the depth there is in British boxing.
Good domestic/euro level fighters like Callum Johnson, Hughie Fury, John Ryder, Tommy Langford, Martin J Ward and Jack Catterall can't even make the top 30.
Highly rated prospects like Andrew Selby, Josh Kelly and Anthony Yarde don't make it in either.
There just isn't enough room for them all.

sometimes ppl dont appreciate how strong british boxing is. its absolutely up there for the strongest in the world. loads and loads of talent. and not the drab bored fans that are in so many other countries.keirw wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 11:02 Even though I disagree with a few of the rankings, I do always enjoy seeing Horse's top 30. Crolla lost to Al Hamidi over 10 years ago.
Who cares about all of that stuff?

Yes.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 08:07These are updated rankings. It's not an overall all-time ranking list. Horse updates it every month.
All-time British list, Brook would be above Crolla.
Re: British Top 30 P4P May 2018
and the fight with diaz was a 3 round technical draw due to a cut from a head clash, and at that time diaz was more like 50th on boxrec. but ya, lol, crolla could only scrape by with a draw vs the world 413!
not disengenous at all

Could you also provide excuses for his 6 losses?jamamb wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 12:35and the fight with diaz was a 3 round technical draw due to a cut from a head clash, and at that time diaz was more like 50th on boxrec. but ya, lol, crolla could only scrape by with a draw vs the world 413!

Indeed, we also have fighters in a much wider weight range than most other countries.jamamb wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 11:24sometimes ppl dont appreciate how strong british boxing is. its absolutely up there for the strongest in the world. loads and loads of talent. and not the drab bored fans that are in so many other countries.keirw wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 11:02 Even though I disagree with a few of the rankings, I do always enjoy seeing Horse's top 30. How many other countries have active world champions at both Super-Flyweight and Heavyweight?
Re: British Top 30 P4P May 2018
The top ten is very strong. With a win, and given his last fight, I see him knocking Jamie down one and sitting at #12. If Bellew losses, there could be an argument for possibly #11
Re: British Top 30 P4P May 2018
You can if you want.forcefraser wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 09:25I agree. The point is you can`t use an argument for placing someone in a certain position based on who you THINK won the fight.
I entered both Whyte and Chisora into the rankings after their fight, so Chisora was rewarded for his 'loss' just like Murray was.forcefraser wrote: ↑02 May 2018, 09:25Martin Murray did not beat Martinez according to the judges. There is no big contradiction here.
Murray was rated highly based on his close losses and draw at world level rather than his wins at a lower level.
What's wrong with that?
