Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
I know that most of you people sleep with Lomachenko pillow covers and I agree, he's ridiculously good. I am in no way saying that he doesn't deserve the highest regard for which he has been getting the last year. But...I'm sorry. Loma is no Terrance Crawford. No one has even come CLOSE to beating Crawford. He hasn't tasted defeat (like Loma has) or been knocked on his keester (like Loma has). Both have ridiculous skills but there's a brutish elegance that TC brings into the ring that I feel is unmatched. A meanness as Mr. Lampley puts it. But it's a chip on his shoulder where he doesn't allow himself to lose an exchange, much less a round. He's THAT much better than the rest.
Granted, we shouldn't have been high on Horn's ability. Was he a good story? Yes. A Top WW? Nope. The Aussies want to paint him as Rocky, good for them. I don't blame them. But he IS a bull and wins his fight on his nastiness and roughness. Terrance Crawford got sick of hearing how rough and tough Horn was so he was set to out-bully him in the ring. He could have stayed away and picked him apart but he didn't want to. He wanted to throw Horn around while beating him up 3 ways till Sunday and that's what he did...with ease. I feel that Terrance Crawford is the BEST in Boxing right now. I feel he's the most talented boxer in Boxing right now (sorry Lomaheads). With his tools, size and ability, no one is better. He deserves the credit now...not in a year. NOW. I will go as far as to say that if we ever get the ultimate treat, Spence vs Crawford within the next year or two, Terrance Crawford will knock Errol Spence Jr. OUT. No decision. OUT. I don't even think that it will be close.

Terrance Crawford is a bûm! He would get his âss whupped by Terence Crawford, who is a far better fighter.
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
to me he was #1 even before the horn fight and before loma had some issues with linares
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
of course but to me crawford is the better fighter regardless. i look at him and see a superior package to loma.
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
He'd win between the two of them definitely due to the size advantage. I'm still not 100% sure he's the better fighter of the two. Crawford does show an uncanny ability to adjust during his fights, but Loma has possibly the best footwork and movement I've ever seen from anybody so it's a close call.
We'll have to see more of them against Elite competition to say for sure.
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
to me theres still a touch of amteur to loma. still seems sort of a tapping point scorer at times. to me crawford is the refined pro package. and better puncher p4p. he has it all.
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
He's definitely the bigger puncher of the two P4P. No argument there.
They each bring different skills to the table.

Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
Well Crawford's in the 147 lb. division now.
There's quite a few outstanding contenders and alphabet champions there.
Eventually we'll find out if Crawford is truly the best P4P fighter out there or if he's just really good but not boxing's absolute monarch.
If he meets and can vanquish Porter, Garcia, Thurman, Pacquiao and if course Spence, then he more than deserves the P4P plaudits.
But right now it's only theory and opinuin about Crawford's place on the P4P list.
Based on resume, I'd only place him at 3 in the welter division behind Thurman and Spence.
And Garcia and Porter are close on his heels with the winner of their bout May be surpassing Crawford.

p4p lists are pretty much always theory
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
Still hasn't been in with anyone his size let alone pistol.and indongo both of whom can't fight....Beltran dulorme Jean Lundy??..Molina tough but shopworn..Diaz? Unprovin.... Horn? Unskilled..
There's no denying crawfs skill....but still.no signature fight to make a case for #1

Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
Crawford doesn't have a win over a genuine elite fighter.
Indongo, exposed as a hype job coasting on a lucky KO.
Horn, limited plodder.
Postol, hype job. Will probably get KO'd by rookie Josh Taylor.
Loma has Rigo ( on many people's p4p) and Loma, arguably the #2 guy in his division. Also Russel Jr is a better scalp than anyone on Crawford's resume.
I'd put Indongo on about the same level as the Walters win. A good but not great scalp.

Who could argue with that brilliant argument?Enlightened-One wrote: ↑12 Jun 2018, 19:19 Terrance Crawford is a bûm! He would get his âss whupped by Terence Crawford, who is a far better fighter.
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
I won't argue with that. Loma definitely has a better resume to this point as far as opposition goes but my opinion isn't who has the best resume. It's who i think is the most dominant fighter in the world right now and the toughest to beat. I don't even think it's close. It's Terrance Crawford in my opinion. Loma has already been beaten and just got knocked down. That has to figure into the equation as well. I still call Loma #2 but I can't just disregard the facts.tigermoth87 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2018, 01:25 Crawford doesn't have a win over a genuine elite fighter.

just shooting from the hip as an example here, if you scaled Spence down to Loma's weight i think he'd kick his ass.
Crawford going up to Spence's weight, and I am not so sure Spence beats him never mind kicks his ass.

LOMA lost to SALIDO---hasn't avenged it yet !
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
..considering subjective nature of P4P rankings Crawford might as well have the top spot..

Maybe. He's more rugged, Loma more technical. Time will tell who's better. Big fan of both.

Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
Arum doesn't want you to remember that. Neither does ESPN.
Eventually that defeat will be mysteriously expunged from his record, just like Chavez never lost to one Miguel Ruiz.
At least according to the record books.
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
Whilst winning every round I was surprised how Horn was able to clip Crawford on numerous occasions.
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
loma lost to salido , but fighting a salido level opponent in your 2nd pro fight after 3 full pro rounds is so extremely unusual that i think its fair to treat it different. loma has had absolutely loads more pro schooling since then, i dont really hold that loss much against him, i actually think being so competitive after 1 pro fight is hugely impressive and indactive of a special fighter
but for me loma isnt quite p4p 1, neither is golovkin. crawford for me, and i think spence is absolutely legit too although im disappointed in how long it took for his opposition to rise up.
also lets not underrate canelo.. canelo was very competitive with ggg (who ppl rate very high) and of course beat cotto, beat lara years before hurd did , and beat trout years before those other guys, and even now trout is giving good work to the top jmws.
whereas hurd beats older lara and trout and ppl love him to death

The problem however is that Crawford has so far not faced opponent as good as the one that knocked Loma down.
Re: Sorry but Terrance Crawford is THE TOP P4P now....
Hopefully, we'll be able to find this out but it won't be until the fans beat down the door and demand it. Right now, i don't think that the fight will do well enough to warrant both promoters conceding to work with each other. But hey, you're opinion is no worse than mine. I just don't think i've ever seen a boxer more hungry to win than TC. He's not getting outworked in there so that's why i feel i'm correct.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑13 Jun 2018, 07:12caldo2025 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2018, 07:10I won't argue with that. Now TC did get buzzed by Gamboa and did have jelly legs for a second. A shocking KO is the only way I see him losing a fight because he does love to mix it up and seems to throw caution to the wind. So you may be right but I'm thinking TC beats up Spence.

I'm agreeing with you bro. If Crawford wasn't coming up in weight and Spence wasn't such a big welter I would be very confident Crawford wins. Even so I have it close to 50/50caldo2025 wrote: ↑14 Jun 2018, 07:18Hopefully, we'll be able to find this out but it won't be until the fans beat down the door and demand it.
