Easter’s Chin

Post by diddy »

Has he been hurt yet? I don’t recall. I don’t recall him being wobbled in a fight. Trying to figure out if I should slam this Garcia +145 by DEC prop.

I don't think I"ve ever seen him hurt; although, you have to wonder if the weight cut did something this time. He looked a bit sickly during the weigh in; although, this is his first weigh-in I've seen.

Garcia is obviously going to win but can’t bring myself to bet him at -750 (even tho that’s way down from the -1400 it was). This result is not in doubt but you don’t make money laying that much juice.

Being in LA with all the gringos out in full force Easter may as well be fighting in another country. He needs a KO to win a split decision.

Definitely a pro Garcia crowd judging by the boos Easter is getting coming in the ring.

Mexicans are not gringos.

Non-Mexicans are gringos.

And anyway, this fight could be fought in Ohio and Garcia would win in lopsided fashion.

Feel out round for Garcia, trying to find range against the more rangy fighter. Mikey landed the better punches in the round but Easter was by far the more active fighter. Hard to not give Easter that round but it's hard not to think Garcia will pick up the pace as the fight goes on.

Another close round. Easters range is showing to be a bit of a issue for Garcia. Garcia finally got inside and roughed Easter up a bit on the ropes but didn't land anything significant. Another close round. I might have to give that one to Mikey.

Round 3

Easter down late in the round.
Up till then Easter was continuing to box on the retreat with little power on his punches.
Garcia 2 point round.

2-1 Garcia

Garcia found his range that round, things aren't going to be good for Easter for the remainder of the fight.

Easter is trying to Devon Alexander his way to a win with a bunch of range finding taps. That’s not going to beat Garcia in LA.

This feels like a matter of time. Garcia isn’t respecing Easter’s punching power at all now.

Round 4

Nice jab from Garcia mid round.
Garcia really closing the distance now as Easter has problems boxing it out up close.

Garcia starting to do whatever he wants.. P4P stuff here from Garcia. I'm not trying to say Easter is a great opponent, but Garcia is looking super sharp.

Round 5

Garcia trying to score with the left hook lead at times.
Easter sticking to his flick out weaker jab.
Seems like Garica is trying to lead up to the big shot now.

4-1 Garcia

Easter is game, but Garcia is landing all the effective shots. 2 different levels of fighters here.
