I think the WBA should declare Fres the champ and then schedule a title defense.

 That is unbelievable. Sad that it's come to this

walter5 wrote: 20 Sep 2018, 11:52 The logical compromise is to move Free Oquendo into Adamek's spot on October 6th in Chicago (Oquendo's hometown) and do Jarrell Miller vs. Fres Oquendo for the WBA Regular Title on DAZN. Miller was to be the mandatory to the winner anyways. It makes all the sense in the world for all parties involved.
Adamek gonna bring 10x more fans in Chicago than Oquendo and also is much better opponet than Oquendo (people say Miller vs Adamek is a mismatch so what to say about Miller vs Oquendo... :maybe:)

Oquendo is not even a top 100 HW
Nobody cares what Oquendo is in the landscape of heavyweights. He's going to get a WBA World Title shot and everyone wants that belt. It's no problem for Hearn to find another opponent for Adamek as well.
I doubt that everyone wants that belt. I think that top dogs dont give a śhit about this belt really. Anyway if Miller wants that belt then it's not a problem to make Miller vs Oquendo shortly after Adamek fight but does it really make sense?

If the test has been done in the same lab that got suspended last year, the same lab Wilder always wants to be involved in all kind of tests then I know enough, Charr is probably innocent and they just want the Americans to have the belt and screw Miller even harder.
How is this screwing the American Miller?

What the hell now? Oquendo v Bryan? Miller v Oquendo?

This is getting ridiculous
Getting ridiculous? It was ridiculous the whole time. It's gotten absolutely absurd

This has gotta be the most insanely stupid running joke in the history of the sport.

Just bring in a filler opponent for the same day to fight Oquendo, and let's get this sh*t over with already for f*cks sake. It can be a guy not ranked in the Top 50...f*ck it. I mean Charr basically wasn't so what the hell's the difference
My point exactly. Have Oquendo fight anyone for the vacant crap title. It doesn't matter the belt is a joke.
The whole freaking situation is a joke

At this point I almost think it might be funnier if we're still talking about Oquendo vs whoever in 2025, and another dozen guys test positive or have to pull out for some other reason or something.

Maybe the next guy will get in a car crash on the way to the arena to fight Fres

Oquendo will be coming to the ring with a walker by the time this finally comes off

Isn't Guillermo Jones ranked in the WBA? Then maybe Oquendo vs Jones, +90 years in the ring, just to make this whole situation even more ridiculous.

The risk that Jones testes positive is too high though.

Haha yeah i just realised this seconds before your post and edited mine

So it looks like Oquendo waiting until 2025 is really an option, so difficult to find an opponent for him.

Surely not. I mean hell if they offered me 10 Grand. I'D fight Oquendo

Surely one of these Pros out there would jump at the chance to fight Oquendo, and get themselves an easy title.

Or long enough to become the oldest HW "Champion" ever. I guess he's about as old as Foreman was vs Moorer.

And find a last minute substitute and call it a title bout to get rid of this crap.
The WBA regular belt means absolutely nothing anyway.
Surely some top 25 guy is available to fill in for Charr
1. Trevor Bryan
2. Alexander Povetkin
3. Fres Oquendo
4. Jarrell Miller
5. Dillian Whyte
6. Dereck Chisora
7. Otto Wallin
8. Bryant Jennings
9. Guillermo Jones
10. BJ Flores
11. Christian Hammer
12. Alexander Ustinov
13. Bogdan Dinu
14. Joe Joyce
15.Christopher Lovejoy

Surely one of these guys can fill in at last minute
I just checked out the boxrec ranking, this guy is ranked 67...in the USA! What a total joke! And his record looks terrible even compared to Wilder's pre-Stiverne record.

Idea.. :TU:

Legally they owe him a title shot. If that wasn’t the case, they would have handed him the belt after Chagaev retired. Shame really.

I'd love to see Joyce, Whyte or Chisora get the match. For no other reason than to put Oquendo back into retirement quickly

I would imagine absolutely anybody will put him back into retirement. Doubtful he beats ANYBODY they match him against at this point. I mean...even Charr was the favorite to win, and Charr has always sucked

I mean honestly if they matched him with one of the better contenders of the moment like Jarrell Miller or whatever, the guy could literally not train AT ALL, and still win probably

He could sit at home watching TV for the whole 2 month training camp, and still get the W pretty easy. That's how little chance Fres has against anybody with a pulse, and from the looks of a guy like Miller he'd relish the chance to not train

So would a guy like Andy Ruiz or Kownacki.
