Gabriel Rosado vs. Maciej Sulecki - March 15, 2019
Taking place on the undercard of Farmer-Carroll.
Rosado (24-11-1 14KOs) is back in action after a controversial all-action fight in Kansas with Luis Arias in November, the former World title challenger drawing with the Milwaukee man.
The 33 year old will be desperate to get his name back into contention for major honors with the 160lbs division red hot right now, but Sulecki (27-1 11KOs) will have the same designs on those title shots having bounced back from a loss against Daniel Jacobs in April with a second round KO win in Poland in November.
“I'm excited to start the year back home in Philly,” said Rosado. “This is the second half of my career and the goal is to win a World title. It's only right that it starts here in Philly.”
This is Sulecki’s return bout in the US, since his loss to Jacobs.
Rosado is always ready to fight and has over 10 losses now. Still should be a scrap.

Rosado suffers his 12th KO loss. He might last the distance, but he'll be on the receiving end of some serious punishment.

Rosado doesn't lay down, especially in Philly, but he figures to get smacked around pretty good by Sulecki.
It's a distance fight unless Rosado busts up.

I am wondering how many beatings Rosado is capable to take. He faced
Angulo
Golovkin
Quillin
Mell Charlo
Lemieux
and was in other wars.

Quillin and Jermell failed to even drop Rosado. Not sure where such a confidence about Sulecki is coming from. It will only be a brutal beating if Rosado is shot.
Re: Gabriel Rosado vs. Maciej Sulecki - March 15, 2019
i cant get interested in any rosado fight, just so recycled and ive heard him moan about robberies way too many times, even when ggg wrecked him he complained about gggs gloves

He is somewhere between a solid journeyman and a contender, but he comes there to fight and never quits producing entertaining fights.

P.S. I think he was beating Quillin before they stopped the fight on a cut which wasn't that bad.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑25 Jan 2019, 13:21He is somewhere between a solid journeyman and a contender, but he comes there to fight and never quits producing entertaining fights.

Sulecki is gonna beat the sh*t out of Rosado. With the added age, and wear and tear from past fights I wouldn't be surprised if this winds up looking similar to the GGG beating Rosado got by the end.

He was winning but that cut was in a bad spot and bleeding right down into his eye. They were more than justified in stopping the fight on that cut.

It may well be a decision, but Rosado is gonna be sliced to ribbons by the end of it.

Re: Gabriel Rosado vs. Maciej Sulecki - March 15, 2019
Rosado has only won three of his last eleven bouts. He’ll be competitive for a while against Sulecki, but he’ll likely lose by late stoppage, due to getting KO’d or via cuts.
Re: Gabriel Rosado vs. Maciej Sulecki - March 15, 2019
I see Sulecki winning it by majority decision and a wide one at that.
I admit I like Rosado, it's rare to see a never say die attitude and that fearlessness he seems to have, along with a willingness to make it a rough fight and take one hell of a beating and not go down but to fight through it.
Saying that though, this is reality, and heart doesn't win rounds, most of the time. Sulecki is on good form and his only loss was to Jacobs, who in his next fight took the IBF title. He'll outbox him, probably cut him up but the fight will go the 12 rounds if the cuts are kept from getting too serious.

The Middleweight clash between Gabriel Rosado and Maciej Sulecki on Friday night (March 15) at the Liacouras Center, Philadelphia live on DAZN in the US and Sky Sports in the UK, has extra spice added to it as promoter Eddie Hearn announced that the winner is likely to face WBO kingpin Demetrius Andrade in June.
“I’m pretty sure that the winner of Saturday’s fight will be the next opponent for Demetrius in June,” said Hearn. “It’s a massive fight for Gabe and Maciej – we know that DAZN is the home of the Middleweights and these two have the opportunity on Friday to unlock the door to the big time.
“I expect an absolute war between both men, I think it could be fight of the night and on this card, that’s saying something!”

Re: Gabriel Rosado vs. Maciej Sulecki - March 15, 2019
his performance last week was very disappointing and uninpressive, unfortunately. Szeremeta fought Sulęcki 3x at amateurs, and won every time (of course, pro boxing is different and it was quite some time ago)
