Canelo will dish it out big style, and i'd hate to see it tbhapollo creed wrote: ↑08 Jun 2019, 14:25 Unfortunately the age is not on GGG's side vs Canelo.
As for Andrade, as I said before he is another Monroe Jr, pre GGG fight.
If GGG looks good vs Rolls I'd like to see him fighting Andrade or Jermall!

Andrade talking a lot at the moment. Too much about fights beyond Sulecki.

Ggg v charlo is a great fight
Id rather see canelo fight Callum smith. Ive seen ggg v canelo twice. Ggg aint winning a 3rd fight unless javier capetillo is his new cornerman

cant see ggg vs charlo happening
prob get charlo vs willie monroe and then ggg vs jack culcay or something amazing, could even be worse tbh
is charlo vs adams still on? no one is talking a word about it

Yeah it's very difficult to get made. Jermall is just waiting for wbc to make a move about his manadatory status against Canelo.

Imo GGG looked rusty. Atm Canelo beats GGG soundly. GGG tried to impose his new boxing gameplan but he looked clumsy and slow, getting tagged by Rolls. So GGG returned to his old style and he got the KO.
The next logical fight for GGG it has to be vs Andrade/Sulecki winner. Now we will see.

ggg-canelo is totally boring now, no need to do it again, with a division thats had ggg, canelo, andrade, charlo, jacobs, bjs, and even solid second tier guys like derev its a shame that were talking about rehashed fights , there are/were many very interesting matchups in theory at least
hell, give me ggg vs brant before a third canelo fight
for me my biggest hope is that charlo gets a big fight

I'd like to see Canelo-GGG III just to have a conclusive result. But, yeah, will it really be conclusive result after the 3rd time is a big question.jamamb wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 02:23 ggg-canelo is totally boring now, no need to do it again, with a division thats had ggg, canelo, andrade, charlo, jacobs, bjs, and even solid second tier guys like derev its a shame that were talking about rehashed fights , there are/were many very interesting matchups in theory at least

If GGG gets that WBO title and looks good, then it makes some sense to unify with Canelo in a third fight. The thing is Canelo would probably give a beating to GGG.jamamb wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 02:23 ggg-canelo is totally boring now, no need to do it again, with a division thats had ggg, canelo, andrade, charlo, jacobs, bjs, and even solid second tier guys like derev its a shame that were talking about rehashed fights , there are/were many very interesting matchups in theory at least

Brant is gonna rematch Murata in Japan for big money.
If Jermall wants to get good fights he should move up at 168lbs where a few of his stable mates are.(Benavidez, Anthony Dirrell-wbc champ, Caleb Plant, Quillin and probably Daniel Jacobs). Mall is a big guy too.
At 160 lbs Jermall could fight DEREVYANCHENKO or Korobov II.

If GGG is unable to face Canelo next, he’ll fight another Steve Rolls type opponent... and will be given a free pass from his loyal fanbase for doing so, regardless the fact he’ll be engaging in another mismatch.
Gennadiy won’t consider facing a risky opponent for a mediocre purse if there’s a possibility of him tasting defeat and missing out on the Canelo mega payday.

And if not Andrade or Canelo then what realistically option he has to face a good opponent on DAZN?
I suspect that Canelo would unify titles with Andrade in September. Meanwhile GGG would need to find another opponent.

Gennadiy is self-managed and self-promoted. He might be influenced by the head honchos at DAZN, but he’ll be the one that is ultimately responsible for selecting his own opponents.apollo creed wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 08:41 Another 'Rolls'? Like who?

Prior to selecting Steve Rolls, GGG's name had been linked to the likes of: Hassan N'Dam, Kamil Szeremeta, Brandon Adams and John Ryder.
There are a lot of “Steve Rolls” type fighters to choose from (i.e. guys that can’t fight and possess a statistically impressive resume entirely built on facing overmatched journeymen).
What I’ve said might sound harsh, but GGG, DAZN, GBP and Canelo will all want the rematch and none of those parties will want Gennadiy to take any unnecessary risks that could scupper the highly-lucrative third bout.
Golovkin is getting old. The possibility of him being upset by an underdog increases as he keeps ageing. He knows this, which is why he’ll continue facing underwhelming names until the Canelo bout is signed-up.

Indeed atm there is no other better lucrative fight for Canelo than a third fight with GGG. Probably even Canelo himself wants to whoop GGG in great fashion to end this 'close fights chapter'.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 08:57 Gennadiy is self-managed and self-promoted. Re: If GGG looks good vs Rolls I'd like to see him fighting Andrade or Jermall!
During the post-fight press conference, GGG clearly stated that if he fails to face Canelo next, he’ll refuse to consider facing Demetrius Andrade, Jermall or Danny Jacobs next.
Apparently his priority is Canelo.
I’m not sure if there was an issue due to the translator misinterpreting the question, because Golovkin said that he’d rather fight young unbeaten opposition instead of going over old ground with Jacobs.
However, when asked about the possibility of facing undefeated fighters like Andrade or Charlo, he says that he’ll be in a no-win situation if he chose Demetrius instead of Jermall or vice versa. He only cares about fighting Canelo.
Why didn’t he just say that he’s willing to face anyone instead of contradicting himself?
He seemed uncomfortable and very non-committal when answering simple questions, even via an interpreter.
Maybe he was sick of answering questions and wanted to go home.

Re: If GGG looks good vs Rolls I'd like to see him fighting Andrade or Jermall!
He's acted like a prima donna since losing his title to Canelo.
His happy go lucky, goofy image has been exchanged for that of a surly boor.
Golovkin still has 5 fights left on his DAZN contract. So he better understand that it's not Canelo or nothing.
I'm sure that if he looks under a rock, he can uncover another Steve Rolls type. The question is, will DAZN tolerate this "Canelo or safety first" type of approach?

Re: If GGG looks good vs Rolls I'd like to see him fighting Andrade or Jermall!
Although some think that Gokovkin is allowed to pick and choose his opponents from a hat, I don't believe that for a second.
DAZN reportedly invested more than $100 million into a 6 fight contract. I doubt that they will approve of him fighting 4 more Steve Rolls and one Canelo.
Golovkin said during the week that DAZN is the boss of GBP and Canelo, and will order them to agree to a rematch.
So the same would be true for Golovkin. DAZN will not let him continue to coast by on fighters the quality of Steve Rolls.
Those types of fights will do nothing to boost DAZN's subscription rate.

He can't be expected to have top tier contenders for all five fights. That was my point.SenorPipino wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 11:51 Although some think that Gokovkin is allowed to pick and choose his opponents from a hat, I don't believe that for a second.

Let's say beside Canelo, GGG needs to fight at least two top fighters. I don't think DAZN agreed with GGG to have just one top fight (Canelo) and the rest of them to be soft fights.

3G is and always has been a breath of fresh air in boxing. What orifice did you pull that “Gingerhead or safety first” feces from?
3G fought Jacobs first and defeated him more clearly. Of course, given the normalization of the entitled PED cheat’s three round headstart in every fight, manure hucksters like you see any fight Gingerhead finishes as a clear victory.
Who fought Khan while 3G wrecked the undefeated Brook?
Who fought LeMieux and Murray while Gingerhead fought Kirkland and a blown up old Cotto, instead of the acknowledged MW King?
Prima dona is Gingerhead’s middle name.

You spot on. That undefeated fully hydrated version of Brook is a better win than Kirkland, Khan, Smith and Chavez Jr combined. Also Murray is another underrated win for GGG. Unofficially Murray beat Martinez. Murray pretty much was the true lineal mw champion when GGG fought him.
Also from 2005 to 2012-2013 Canelo fought plenty of 'Steve Rolls'. Not to talk about the washed up versions of Angulo, Kirkland, Khan, JCCJr and then stiffs like Smith and Fielding.
