A heavyweight bout between unbeaten 2008 Chinese Olympic silver medalist Zhang Zhilei and Russian Sergey Kuzmin is agreed to, Roc Nation Sports promoter Dino Duva told ESPN. Kuzmin is coming off his first loss, a 12-round decision to Michael Hunter on Sept. 13. The fight is slated for Nov. 30 (DAZN) in Monte Carlo on a Matchroom Boxing card that is being put together but will include the vacant secondary welterweight title bout between undefeated contenders Radzhab Butaev and Alexander Besputin.

Nice and quick return fight for Kuzmin following the loss to Hunter. Can't really complain. Finally get to see what Zhang brings...

I'd be okay with this fight. I don't think it's really a good win for Kuzmin, if he wins. Zhilei's scalp is basically about on-par with Dawejko, Price, and Mansour. But just for the sake of putting Zhilei to the test, I think the fight would be a curiosity.

Yeah, I have to admit I'm curious about both these Chinese HW's. Been around for years, except no one has seen them. Like ghosts.
There is so little footage of either. In fact, there is more Yeti footage on YouTube than there is of these guys.

Not seen anything of ZZ but he's big and was decent amateur. Zhang will either keep him on the end of the jab or kuzmin will stop the fraud ( if he is )

Again, I wouldn't really call him a fraud because I see no one rating him as anything other than a mediocre or totally unproven pro, and he at least had a legit amateur background with medals in the Olympics and Worlds. The other Zhang though is a total fraud with fixed fights and fights that didn't even happen.

Russia’s Kuzmin (15-1, 11 KOs) was supposed to provide the toughest test of the 2008 Olympic silver medalist’s professional career in a bout DAZN was to stream from Casino de Monte Carlo.

“We’re disappointed about Kuzmin’s injury because Kuzmin is a ranked heavyweight,” Duva said. “This would’ve been a good fight for Zhilei to prove himself. But there are three or four possible opponents that we’re looking at. We should have a new opponent soon. We’re optimistic that he’ll fight the type of opponent that’ll allow him to get back into the ratings.”

The 6-feet-6, 260-pound Zhang returned to New Jersey late in August and resumed his partnership with trainer Shaun George.

Zhang was ranked by the WBO before his long layoff. He had hoped to get a shot at since-dethroned IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO champion Anthony Joshua, who defeated Zhang on points at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Parker has a Matchroom contract, and has been grinding hard in the gym since his illness. He has also been calling Matchroom out about keeping busy - well, actually Higgy has been doing most of the talking on that front.
He should take the fight if he can, he needs to stay busy after only one fight in 2019.
