Which HW would beat every other HW?

Post by RonnyJ »

Who is the top HW ever. Difficult question, since heavyweights grew so much in height and weight. Ali may have the best skills ever @hw, but skills with his height and weight wouldnt be enough for todays very tall hw.
Mike on the other hand would also have a tremendous height weight disadvantage, but makes him so dangerous is, in his prime he was great at everything, great speed, atg punching power, great chin, he was the total package and when he would be close to klitschko, joshua, wilder, than these boxers would have a problem. With a semi good or even a good chin prime Tyson close would be a desaster. Tall boxers have problems taking body shots and aside vitaly most have weak chin like wladimir, lewis etc..

What is your take, or does the best hw ever dont exist and styles make fight and everybody even in his prime can lose to a other boxer?

Lewis schooled holyfield. Holyfield is an atg, but not in the discussion for the top spot

Moorer, bowe, even during his prime took losses. Unlike tyson or holmes.

I think on his best day Lennox would stand a good chance of beating everyone. He had all the physical tools, height, weight, reach plus good ability and power.

Holmes, forman, tyson, fury and joshua difintly don't belong in this list. You could replace then with Holyfield, but again I'm not sure about Holyfield just too small

Everyone know that Holmes era was dull era and there was no one around, until tyson came. Holmes didn't have physical attributes and power, same size as ali, but ali could take a lot of punishment, which holmes chin couldn't handle.

There were some talented fighters in Holmes era and Holmes beat most of them while they were still fresh and before they got on the drugs, as far as Holmes chin is concerned, he had pretty good whiskers and even better powers of recovery

At this moment i picked nobody but vitaly would be one of those choices which would make sense. Lewis was beating everybody up and vitaly beat him up. Lewis was using shady tactics like rubbing his gloves and head to open the cuts more, but vitaly was winning on points. Not holyfield or tyson were leading on points. Vitaly height power and his atg chin would be dangerous for anybody. He is better than his glass jaw brother. He would outbox the technicly poor wilder.

Lewis > bowe

Beat him in the amateurs and than bowe wanted no fight in the pros. Case closed.

Vitali would have been competitive, but would have struggled with faster fighters like Ali and Holmes

Vitali would win a couple. His lack of power hurts him against the very best. I'd favor him over wilder and Josh. Good chance against Tyson.
