Crawford/McGregor?
Talks for an mma fight followed by a boxing rematch. This might put an end to eo. Way more money than any potential boxing match. Thoughts?
Re: Crawford/McGregor?
whats the point? we already know what will happen in each

Re: Crawford/McGregor?
Bob Arum previously claimed the Mayweather-McGregor bout was “stupid and a “circus fight”, but if the public “falls for it, then so be it”. He said it wasn’t even a real “contest” and he wasn’t willing see it.
Flash forward 2½ years later, and now Bob Arum is claiming he is planning to pit an “elite boxer”, like Crawford, against an “elite MMA guy in McGregor”, because it would be “interesting and something the public would want to see”.

against anything if it’s not making THEM money. But if that same thing makes them money then they’re all for it.

I hear Crawford used to wrestle in school? Is that true?

Nothing can surprise me after Mayweather vs McGregor. It produced a mint of money. So, there you go that’s the reality.

Re: Crawford/McGregor?
Yes, his sons wrestle. Bud could definitely win the mma fight. When the best boxer on the planet throws on 4 oz gloves, look out.
Re: Crawford/McGregor?
MAJOR props to Crawford for being in favor of this! One of the few PPV's I would gladly buy. I think Crawford competes in MMA much more competitively than most think. There is a lot of dog in Bud. Make it happen!
Re: Crawford/McGregor?
i am a huge conor fan, and a big crawford fan, but we dont need it. ill love to see conor mc have it with a top ufc geezer , and terrance is the champ i want to see him with anyone in boxing but spence jr is the main one , maybe josh taylor . totaly different sports, 2 great fighters at there peak and should fight by the rules they know,
Re: Crawford/McGregor?
Ridiculous, Crawford has more sense than to enter into an MMA fight in which he can’t win, he’s a boxer end of story, so what if he’s done a bit of wrestling it doesn’t mean anything just like Conors amateur boxing background means jack, they both fight at a high level in 2 completely different combat sports and you can’t just pop into the other and think you know what you are doing, a lot of folk sounding like daft teenagers over this.

Re: Crawford/McGregor?
Wondering what kind of recuperating time the fighters would get between bouts. Can't see this happening really.

Re: Crawford/McGregor?
I agree, Bob is probably just trying to leverage 'options' to try and land one of the big pbc guys. Bud ain't Floyd, I don't think McGregor would make as much as a UFC either. I'd watch the fornicate out of it though. Man, if bud lost the mma fight he'd be Duran nasty boxing.Best Coast wrote: ↑25 Jan 2020, 19:25Given all the top-notch boxers that Bud could fight at 147 (Spence, Porter, Garcia, Thurman, Pac, etc) fighting McGregor is not a good move & I have a hunch it wont get past the talking stage.
Re: Crawford/McGregor?
Bob would be better served to co-promote a boxing/MMA combo event. McGreggor in an MMA fight and Craw in a boxing match.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑25 Jan 2020, 19:49I agree, Bob is probably just trying to leverage 'options' to try and land one of the big pbc guys. Re: Crawford/McGregor?
No reason for the UFC to do that. Color generates about 100 million or so if you and I are on the undercard.oogiebe wrote: ↑25 Jan 2020, 19:56Bob would be better served to co-promote a boxing/MMA combo event. Agreed, but that would be beneficial to Arum. UFC aside.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑25 Jan 2020, 20:09No reason for the UFC to do that. Color generates about 100 million or so if you and I are on the undercard.
Re: Crawford/McGregor?
No way does Dana White and Bob Arum do business. If Conor McGregor’s gonna box again it’ll def be Mayweather 2. Dana expresses loads of interest in working with Floyd, plus for Conor it’s another 100 Mil paycheck. Something no other boxer will get Conor even a quarter of that money. If Conor boxes again I’ll bet the house it’s Mayweather rematch. Plus Mayweather called him out on IG a few days ago

Re: Crawford/McGregor?
Sounds like a lot of b0ll0cks to raise Crawford's profile.
He might want to fight McGregor in a boxing match because of the money he'll get for an easy fight, but there's no way he'll participate in an MMA bout if he is still serious about his boxing career.
