How many US buys: Fury-Wilder 2
Re: How many US buys: Fury-Wilder 2
Ticket prices are a joke.
They want 5 bills for joke seats.

True on the numbers, but whatever they are there is no way in hell a shit fight does 4 times the buys in a rematch. They can definitely show the dramatic seconds promotionally but no way in hell this sniffs a million
Re: How many US buys: Fury-Wilder 2
I made two predictions: 500k buys and I would not be one of them.
Probably going to be wrong on the second prediction.
Will have company this weekend and they are interested in the fight.

It should do very well, despite the very poor undercard.
The main event is the most interesting match-up of 2020, and Wilder and Fury have done a great job of selling the fight.

If this PPV isn't a success in America (1M+ buys) then PPV is officially dead (which is actually a good thing.)
Super Bowl ads and massive coverage on ESPN and Fox should result in big buys.

I agree. PPV is dying format of getting fights.SmoothStyle1 wrote: ↑19 Feb 2020, 10:50 If this PPV isn't a success in America (1M+ buys) then PPV is officially dead (which is actually a good thing.)

Just voted 🗳
500-600K sounds about right to me.

Based on ticket prices and the demand in the resale market this fight is a big deal. Its going to be much bigger than anyone thinks

Im betting over 1mm
Its been promoted well and heavily and isnt competing with any major sport events
I see 2 friends i havent seen a while tonight. If they ask me about the fight then im certain its a big deal... they are super casual fans
I kind of hope it fails because ppv sucks

So many non boxing fans have been talking about this fight everywhere I go. Reminds me of Mayweather vs McGregor
