Anyone who thought that was close or Saunders won more 2 rounds maximum (and that’s being kind, I only gave him 1 round ) needs to knock supporting boxing on the head as a bad hobby because they obviously know fuk all about boxing, same as if they thought this fight was ever gonna be close or Saunders stood any type of chance and that he wouldn’t quit

It'll be interesting to see how he comes back from that - The injury looked legit to me, he was just bundled off in an ambulance having a bit of a cry.

As we have seen so many time though, this game is about levels. Saunders wasn't up to it. We have our answer.
Callum Smith showed more heart I thought. He absorbed a lot of punishment, and his arm was a bit of wreck at the end, and I can hardly remember him attempting to clinch either.

In the rounds that were somewhat close, it looked like Canelo was coasting to me, just happy to bide his time knowing he could get him out of there when he wanted to.

Yh I said before that would happen, that’s what canelo does mate, just touches you, tightening the screw all the time, pressure with the feet and hits you hard and hits you everywhere, arms, hips, forearms, shoulders, all the time whilst he’s closing in on you, I knew Saunders would quit, I said it and been telling everyone in the gym for months the fight would go exactly like that, he’s a disgrace and never wants to talk sh it again because he’s a show

One of Canelo’s big strengths is that he never panics. He was frustrated at times but he stuck to his game plan and knew he’d break down Saunders in the end.

As much as Saunders is gonna say he was winning, Canelo giving it the big 'un before ramping up for the finish really underscored this.

Disappointing as the ending was, my thanks to Canelo for respecting my bet by waiting till 6 rounds had passed before stopping him

BJS didn’t react that well when Canelo landed on him. Upstairs or downstairs.

A lack of quality opponents and inactivity caused him to soften up and he knew he was heading for the canvas, you could see the shock on his face everytime Canelo landed something decent.

Used to be a presenter on Sky Sports News. Looks like there’s been an explosion at fake tan factory.

I had it 5-3 Canelo. Bit harsh some of the comments about Bill, his eye looked bad. He gave a really good account of himself til then.

In the same way that jabs that miss aren’t scoring shots nor are punches blocked on the arms, Canelo landed the heavier shots but Bill’s work was cleaner

Canelo decided it was karma time and channelled Boy George.
