Yeah that’s the way I’m seeing it. I’ll support anything that shows domestic cards, I loved the days of B0xnati0n in its prime.markinmidd wrote: ↑15 May 2021, 02:26 I’m inn, love the small hall card shows. Often get a barn stormer for an area title. I’ll be signing up , 1.25 a week an a show weekly! Yes please

Sounds good, let the first night be free to view so i can see what your like, thanks
Re: HATTON: 'THIS IS WHAT BOXING HAS BEEN CRYING OUT FOR!'
I would sign up if it was available via a Freeview or Freesat channel, like B0x nation was. Don't need Sky or BT etc. Miss out on the live experience, but they are up on YouTube in no time at all.
Re: HATTON: 'THIS IS WHAT BOXING HAS BEEN CRYING OUT FOR!'
Ok thanks. So I couldn't cast from the app, but then tried going on the fightzone.tv website and using a screen mirroring app to try and cast to my Amazon fire stick. No joy either, and after trying to cast to my downstairs and upstairs TVs (both of which have firesticks) I now get a message on the Fight Zone website which says something along the lines of 'your plan does not allow you to watch on concurrent devices so you'll need to stop streaming on your current device."Fightzone-TV wrote: ↑15 May 2021, 07:12 Cheers for all the feedback fellas - Lightsoot, will get back to you re your tech issue...
I'm paraphrasing, but that's the jist. Would be interested to know who else has actually signed up and whether they can get the app to cast to their smart TV?

Was really looking forward to the initial headliner of Tomlinson v Moorcroft but found out yesterday in the local press that it’s been scrapped .
I’ve seen a fair bit of Moorcroft ( now trained by Crolla) and like his attitude and willingness to jump straight back in the mix after his first loss . I’ve heard nothing but good things about Tomlinson so was expecting a decent fight.
Apparently both are still fighting on the same show but against different opponents ?
Very disappointing.

Fortynineandout - yes, a real shame that fight fell through - a really good fight. More details here: https://dennishobson.co.uk/2021/05/11/e ... ield-show/
Mills vs Ballingall is a great replacement TOB though too...

She can fight (and she's got a good story)! If she can transition over from kickboxing to boxing then she'll have a huge part to play in the women's fight game...

Apart from the main event, will any of the opponents in the away corner have winning records and/or be trying to win?

Re: HATTON: 'THIS IS WHAT BOXING HAS BEEN CRYING OUT FOR!'
There are some debutants on the show who need to be in learning fights but - from memory - can think of Michael Gomez Jr, Keanen Wainwright, Cathy McAleer and Tommy Frank, all home fighters that got turned over on Hobson shows, so wouldn't rule out any upsets...
Re: HATTON: 'THIS IS WHAT BOXING HAS BEEN CRYING OUT FOR!'
The app guys, the app!! Instead of plugging the undercard, do you want to focus on sorting the tech out otherwise you’ll have lots of irritated punters who can’t get it working next Friday. It’s my fiver, but potentially your loss.
Ps it’s not MY tech issue, it’s YOURS. It doesn’t fornicating work, the English on the registration / sign-up process is shite / unclear and needs sorting ASAP.
I’m doing you a favour by flagging now because I’ve seen Dennis throw his toys and it’s not a pretty sight!

Seriously, why are standard tickets £90. Is that if you come per car or person?

Re: HATTON: 'THIS IS WHAT BOXING HAS BEEN CRYING OUT FOR!'
Hi Mickey1975 - thanks for your message. Agree, the ticket price situation isn't ideal from our end but they do include food, and the current covid restrictions have made putting on a show so much more expensive - we're currently (as we speak!) erecting a purpose-built 'arena' just to host the events (have tried to upload a pic on here without success). We're putting on the run of shows that we have coming up to give our fighters work, continue to try to develop their careers and also give fans the chance to watch some live action. As soon as things get back to normal, our ticket prices will definitely be going back to standard (e.g. £40). Cheers...

Ciaran McVarnock appears on our show on May 28, he had to take time out from the sport - he has some story: https://twitter.com/fightzonetv/status/ ... 77088?s=20

Last night’s show was poor but the Yafai/Cunningham fight saved it from being a total shocker. I also didn’t hate the Richards fight because at least De Carolis was trying - Richards was just too good.BigDoofus wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 05:55Matchroom's biggest cheerleader with no sense of ironymaverick23 wrote: ↑15 May 2021, 11:48 Apart from the main event, will any of the opponents in the away corner have winning records and/or be trying to win?![]()

I just hate fights where the away corner isn’t even trying to win. I don’t want to watch shows where 9/10 fights are like that and pretty much all of the small hall shows I’ve been too are like that. Do you disagree or do you just save your negative comments for Matchroom?
Re: HATTON: 'THIS IS WHAT BOXING HAS BEEN CRYING OUT FOR!'
Does anyone remember the show ‘fish, chips and scraps’

rugby players getting pissed on cherry and commentating on small hall boxing shows. It was a total car crash. I remember it ending with them all throwing bananas at each other, having basically given up on analysing fighters they had never heard of.

Sounds great....any chance you can get a subscription channel on Freeview/Freesat ?
