Jeff Harding vs Bobby Czyz

Post by zuru »

15 rds Light Heavyweight
I think this would be a great fight. Both guys were exciting. I think the edge in skills goes to Czyz a boxer/puncher with a tendency to slug.
Height and reach to Harding but he often negated that reach by slugging. I don't know.

I would take Harding to win by late TKO. Czyz was the better boxer but Harding was hard to discourage and naturally bigger, IMO

Feels like another hardcore triology for Hitman Harding but with Bobby replacing The Hackney Rock :TU:

I'd fancy Harding in a one-off however and yeah....it would be a barn-burner :box:

Nice choice btw Zuru!

Thank you Bodyshot3 I appreciate that.
I think Harding is underappreciated. I originally saw him in the 1st Andries fight and kind of forgot him til the other day when him vs McCallum popped up in my feed and I watched what was available. Tough tough guy.

You are welcome mate....it is a good mythical and Harding was a useful WBC champ.

Boxing Monthly caught-up with Harding many moons ago - one of their typically decent features - and it was a very good read indeed. Although also a bit sad because Jeff had gone through all sorts of battles to be sober.

Jeff tipped his hat to McCallum who he admits he could not get too often enough and was brutally honest in saying that by the time he faced Andries the third time in London he wanted to box more and swap bombs less.

As far as I can recall beating the very decent Christophe Tiozzo and in France was the win he rated the most. Winning in France against either of the Tiozzo boys was certainly not an easy gig :salut:

Either Czyz outhustle Harding with body punches and heavy combinations to take a decision or stoppage win or vice versa from Harding who out-box Czyz behind his jabs and combinations to take a decision or stoppage win.
