So the range is 135k - 190k buys. Quite a big range but considering how low it is we’ll never get confirmation from Top Rank on the number.
Bob was saying all week that ESPN are the only people that can drive big PPV sales due to what they’ve done with the UFC and he also said that rumoured Showtime PPV numbers for Canelo were vastly inflated.
It shows to me how far boxing has fallen due to greed. I have never known a time with so many PPVs and many of them aren’t worthy of that so we’ll see the PPV numbers across the board dropping.
Bob and Leonard Ellerbe can say people like Eddie Hearn don’t understand the PpV model of the US but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the more shows you put behind a pay wall less people will end up watching.
Hopefully Gervonta Davis’ PPV show also performs poorly.
there is to many pay to watch boxing channels now even on utube , i mean yea you want to see a fighter earn no doubt, but i cant afford 4 different subs a month on top of a ppv aint going to happen, also i dont yhink crawford excites day trippers . to casual sometimes

150,000 tops. Rubbish opponent as usual. They keep hyping him but surely the public will wise up and hold out paying their hard earned dollars until he fights a proper champion

Me either. Made that decision this July and my DAZN expired at the end of August. I don't miss it. There has been only two fights since then I found PPV worthy, and barely because one had a rubbish undercard. All the rest can suck my balls.
Lopez vs Kambosos
Tank vs (whoever)
And this heavyweight has-been card on January 1st..
