Must admit I’m half tempted to buy the PPV. Not because I think it’s necessarily even worth it, but Khan & Brook have provided a shitload of entertainment over the years, I actually wouldn’t mind contributing to their last big pay day, they’ve certainly earned it in my eyes.
Wonder how much ends up going to the boxers though? Don’t really want 80% of it to end up with Sky

Amir Khan Confident: I'm Going To Finish Kell Brook's Career Off!
Amir Khan believes that next week he will finally finish off his domestic rival, Kell Brook, when they collide in a battle of former world champions.
Their long-awaited grudge match takes place on February 19 in Manchester.
The feud between the two has been playing out for several years, with each boxer suffering bruising knockouts along the way.
Khan has been out of the ring since a stoppage win over an overmatched Billy Dib in July of 2019, while Brook has been away since a TKO defeat at the hands of WBO welterweight world champion Terence Crawford in the fall of 2020.
The loser of the upcoming showdown will certainly be poised to retire from the ring.
Taking no chances, Khan started working with veteran trainer Brian "Bomac" McIntyre in the United States. McIntyre is the longtime trainer of Crawford, who also holds a TKO win over Khan.
"I think it comes down to how hard you've worked and how hard I've worked going into this fight. Obviously with the great sparring, the great game plan that we have for this fight and just go in there and hurt Kell," Khan said to Sky Sports.
"That's what I want to do. I don't want to go in there to just box him, I want to go in there to hurt him and to put him away. I mean, like I already said, he's already beaten, he's already got smashed up eye sockets, he's already been beaten, knocked out.
"So you know what, this is the time now where I just finish him off, finish his career off so he never needs to look at boxing again. This is going to be a nice payday for you Kell Brook, so you just get this payday, walk off and leave this sport happy."

Obviously you have to take any pre fight statement with a pinch of salt, but if Khan is going in there to 'hurt Kell' rather than box & move then Bolton's finest is greatly increasing the chances of getting himself stretched.
He was trying to hurt Danny Garcia and look what happened.

Khan: When I Destroy Kell Brook, People Will Realize He Was Always Talk!
"One of the reasons why I took the fight was because of the public demand," Khan told Sky Sports. "The first press conference showed that we don't really like each other. It's war! We're going to go in there and it's going to be a fight.
"We're not friends and obviously we do dislike each other, but I'm going to show people why I'm the better fighter on fight night. When I do a clinical job on him and I destroy him people will realize he was always smoke, he was always talk."
"I know I've done everything that I've needed to go into this fight. I'm fit, ready and strong to win this fight. It's going to be tough but I'm going to go in there and do what I do best," Khan said.
"I feel sharp, I feel good, the weight's amazing - I'm literally there on the weight, so I can't wait to get in the ring and fight."

When he says he's literally on the weight (and if he's telling the truth) he means he's literally on the weight he needs to cut from in fight week i.e. he doesn't need to lose any more tissue (fat/muscle) he can therefore eat a maintenance quantity of calories this week rather than a deficit. This means he'll be able to train harder in these last few hard sessions than he would if he was on a reduced intake. Fight week will be less stress too.

They are fighting at 149? If so he was there then (unless he cut to that for mind games). Cutting 8lbs water weight is easy.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 07:44I remember seeing he weighed himself like 2-3 weeks ago and he was 157-159 poundsmickey1975 wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 07:36 He's great, Amir, he said he was literally on the weight because he only had lbs to lose.

So basically, he's not literally 149. I literally hate the misuse of that word. And I'm not exaggerating, as I've said literally a million times "I'm not exaggerating"

You could say he's "where he needs to be" in terms of weight.589555 wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 08:07mickey1975 wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 08:03 So basically, he's not literally 149. On the weight for him is probably 157lbs. I know it seems bizarre but the 7lbs or so he has to cut is just water. He'll be 157lbs+ again within a few hours of weigh in.

Natasha Jonas Will Now Face Chris Namus For WBO Title, Piatkowska Out With COVID
Liverpool’s Natasha ‘Miss GB’ Jonas will now face Former World Champion Chris 'El Bombon Asesino' Namus for the Vacant WBO Female World Super Welterweight Championship on Saturday 19th February at the AO Arena Manchester on the Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook card, live and exclusive on Sky Sports Box Office and ESPN+.
Jonas (10-2-1, 7 KO’s) was all set to fight Ewa Piatkowska for the crown, but the Polish fighter contracted Covid and was forced to withdraw and instead ‘Miss GB’ must now face the experienced Uruguayan Namus (25-6-0, 1 NC, 8 KO’s) in her third shot at World title glory.
Namus has been a professional since 2007 and won the IBF World Female title in October 2017 in the highlight of a 32-fight career. She holds the edge over Jonas in experience with over double the amount of fights and treble the amount of rounds than her rival.
Jonas is the first ever female boxer to compete for Team GB and Britain’s first female boxer at the London 2012 Olympics. Her ferocious style of fighting as an amateur made her a big favourite with fans and that has transferred to the pros.
With two previous world title challenges - a highly controversial draw decision against WBC and IBO champion Terri Harper in 2020 and taking fierce rival Katie Taylor the distance last year - Jonas believes it will be third time lucky and finally fulfil her dream.
Although the change of opponent has come just over a week until fight night, Jonas isn’t phased by the late change of opponent and believes she has to stick to her own game plan to get the victory.
“Nothings changed for me,” Said Jonas. “She’s still a tall and rangy opponent and probably more attack minded than Piatkowska from what I’ve seen. They’re very similar in stature and how they box, but it’s all about me and what I do.”
She added, “It’s a disadvantage to me that she’s a natural middleweight, but it’s an advantage for me that she’s had short notice for the fight. This fight is all about me executing my game plan more than me worrying about hers.”
Jonas vs. Namus features as chief support to one of the most highly anticipated grudge matches in British boxing history between bitter rivals Khan and Brook.

Most of the buys will come from casuals, and the 90% of those casuals only care about the main event.daz74 wrote: ↑11 Feb 2022, 12:11agree, they need at least another international belt level fight on the cardmaverick23 wrote: ↑11 Feb 2022, 06:43 A really good main event that I’m looking forward to but is this the worst ever PPV undercard in the U.K.?
