What will these guys make for the fight? I guess Joyce just has to pull the trigger and make big fights but geeze he is close to a world title shot to take a risky fight.

Seen people suggesting it isn't risky but Parker is a handfull and will have a huge speed advantage. I favor Joyce, but I think Parker is probably reentering his prime. Got a bit stale with Kevin Barry (although I think Barry did well for him). But now I'm and amoungst team fury getting a bit more agressive.

Parker lost a lot of momentum with two losses in a row, but he was the first and only person to not get bashed by mentally confedent AJ, and his loss to Whyte came down to a horror headclash for me... So his hype got a bit dinted and he has started a rebuild.

Assuming fury is retired them usyk is the only one I'd consider currently clearly above either. It's a slept on fight.

Parker must be about 6'2" (Joyce obviously in boxing boots)...

That interviewer went straight in there mentioning the trash talk would be abysmal. Haha

They should at least try it for the comedy.

They could get a good crowd in Wembley Arena for this with a supporting bout and some ticket sellars.

Likely PPV I'd imagine.

Good fight.

Any more on whether it’s actually been signed yet? Really good fight if it happens. I’ll be rooting for Joyce but think Parker may be too seasoned for him.

It was funny when Frank was saying it’s a done deal pending an arena. And then Parker was just looking at him and saying it’s not signed yet.

Booked a hotel in Brent which can be cancelled 24hrs before for this fight.
Hopefully can get tickets and Queensbury don’t get greedy.

Ha!
Maybe from Joyce, but Parker was raised very strictly and remains a credit to that upbringing. You won't get any trash talk or un gentlemanly conduct.
It's actually quite refreshing

Parker has strenuously denied the allegations, including under oath in the form of an affidavit.

"I have never been involved in the importation of class A drugs," Parker affidavit reads.

"I have never changed or transported money for the defendants. I have never been involved in the purchase, supply or consumption of methamphetamine.

"Nor was I charged by the police in relation to the specific messages alleged to relate to me, after what appeared to be a thorough investigation."

It was a major police sting, and there were text messages mentioning Parker, but they have not been released so only conjecture as to what that is about. He was interviewed but never charged.
It is out of character to say the least, and he is not short of money, nor is he lavish in his spending. He doesn't even drink.

Good matchup.

I'd have actually preferred to watch Joe Joyce V Zhilei Zhang :box:

Seriously?
Wouldn't that be a bit of a slaughter?
Zhang is hanging in for some sort of sacrifice or other, but I doubt it is to Joyce. That "0" isn't going to come cheap.

What or who do you think they are saving Zhang for?
Surely not AJ/Uysk winner?

I think Joyce v Zhang would be hugely entertaining. Both come out slinging big punches from the off and would do exactly what it says on the tin.

Zhang would be a great replacement challenger and there's the money he'd want taken care of.

Or how about Dubois' first challenger(assuming DDD dismisses Bryant) :maybe:

You say Zhang's holding out for a hiding, but wasn't it Hrgovic who pulled out of their Eliminator ?

I'm sure Joyce and Hrgovic would both beat Zhang, but he does strike me as game.

Wembley Arena?

It needs to be formally announced. Plus Parker said the terms were not fully agreed.

It’s not looking promising.

I thought Frank would have a load of shows sorted now the Fury headache has gone. Nothing for Yarde, nothing for Callum Johnson, no fight confirmed for Joyce or Avanesyan and understandably nothing sorted for Parker. Also nothing arranged for Cacace, Lennox Clarke or Hamzah Sheeraz.
