beterbiev often fought irresponsibly and recklessly vs overmatched fringe opponents, but in his fights vs top guys he's boxed really nicely and reigned himself in. he's the opposite of someone who looks great at B level but crumbles at a level

bivol is similar in a way.....boxes to the opponents level and can ofteen look hohum vs b level, not like a guy you;'d expect to excel at top level, but he schooled canelo, pascal, smith, pretty thoroughly

you know theyd both come out with their best stuff for each other, let's see it happen :bag:

Thats true, they are both the type of fighters that are performing exceptionally when they face top opposition bc they get very motivated and focused. That's why they should fight each other this year bc both will come after some very good performances. They have a good momentum.

Could you imagine both Bivol and Beterbiev having poor performances vs Buatsi and Yarde? lol

WBA have just ordered Bivol and Zurdo.

They should get it on. Both with DAZN.

Then winner gets the fight with Beterbiev after he smashed Yarde.

We know Canelo wants Bivol after GGG.

Canelo vs the Bivol-Beter winner should have been great, but matching went sh!tty way again.

If Beterbiev wins this fight, reserve some all space for him at the hall of fame.

Yeh. A fresh match up is needed every now and again.

I'd like that too.
Zurdo has ducked anyone serious so far though, as a LHW and as a weight bully champ at SMW, it would be fantastic to see his cowardly arse ket kicked. :box:

Fair enough, either will do me. I've waited long enough to see Zurdo actually take on a challenge. We had to sit through the matches with Jessie Hart, and that may still be his best opponent from 40+ fights
Maybe it was Barerra?
Still I checked 44 fights now...

I am going to go for Bivol TKO stoppage. I think his power is underrated and don't think Beterbiev has the best chin. I've said for years that Bivol beats Beterbiev.

Bivol hasn't ko'd someone in like over 100 rounds of boxing, in the past Bivol power seemed to diminish after 6 rounds.

Bivol almost more of a 168 pound fighter than 175 seems small for 175.

Bivol only chance vs Beterbiev is if Beterbiev gets older over night I think Beterbiev like 37 now so it's a possiblity.

I see Beterbiev KO'ing Bivol.

I have seen Beterbiev fight two classic fights , the one in Amateurs vs Usyk .

and the Master PIece of strategy and power vs Gvozdyk (who was mentally diminished from hurting Stevenson earlier)

One of, if not the best fight for me personally that can be made in boxing at the minute, I rate bivol highly, and beterbiev is a machine, very interesting fight

I think Beterbiev eventually wears him down but after watching Bivol dismantle Zurdo, I no longer see it as confidently. I would still favor Beterbiev 55%-45% but it certainly would be a toss up

Beterviev is a different beast. It would be a great fight but I lean for Beterviev, not sure Bivol has been in there with someone who can really hurt him, Canelo was way undersized and I dont think is really as heavy handed. I want to watch it no matter who wins.

I voted "Bivol" by Decision.

I think that he will prevail by utilizing his overall attributes.

Ring Savy, Ring Generalship, Flurries in the Right Spots, Hand-Speed, Reflexes, Stamina, and Resilience.

If Bivol would win the rematch with Canelo, then I think uncle Bob would let old Beterbiev to cash in/unify with Bivol.

Beterbiev is underrated as a boxer.

I'd argue that he's a little better than a peak Kovalev
The Krusher might have edged it on sheer power but Beterbiev is the more skilful, determined fighter.

Bivol is a master of defence but he's likely to be defending for all 12.

Difficult fight to call, but I've been wrong so many times on these boxer v fighter matchups so this time I'm going with the boxer.

Bivol on points.

I would rather see these 2 undefeated Russians for all 4 175 belts than 2 undefeated Americans for all 4 147 belts.
Best matchup in boxing right now

I changed my vote (originally I picked Bivol by decision). Beterbiev's power is otherworldly. Whilst I have always tried to not be seduced by powerful punchers, I believe Beterbiev's power is truly something that will go down in the history books. Regardless of step ups in competition, his power is still just as devastating. Bivol is pretty basic and I don't believe there's anyone who can withstand the punishment Beterbiev can dish out. The only way to beat him is to crack him hard enough, and I believe the only man who stands a chance there is Callum Smith. Bivol's power is just average, whilst Smith's is world class and Beterbiev's chin isn't the best.

Beterbiev by KO.

The great thing about Beterbiev's power is that it is delivered in short-compact punches which is crazy. Beterbiev doesn't need too much space to generate power in his punches.

This fight needs to happen next year in January or February.
