He's saying it without saying it. Cut him some slack now.

if his actual survival was in any way at stake, this would be a Darwin awards moment

"Adverse findings" .Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 04:45 Conor Benn trainer breaks silence on 'devastating' Chris Eubank Jr fight postponement
Conor Benn’s trainer Tony Sims is ‘devastated’ by the news that his fight against Chris Eubank Jr has been cancelled. The veteran coach has never had one of his fighters fail an anti-doping test during his 26 years in the sport but has been met with the news that Benn returned adverse findings for the banned substance clomifene in a drugs test carried out by VADA.
“After 26 years in boxing, a sport I love and have dedicated my life to, I can say hand on heart that I have never experienced or witnessed any athlete in my camp fail an anti-doping test, voluntary or mandatory and I stand proud by that fact.
“Today leaves me truly devastated as we call a postponement to such an amazing event that I was honoured to say I was part of. I have worked closely with Conor Benn for the last 7 years, developing and mentoring him as a fighter in the ring and a man outside of it.
"In particular we have completed this recent 12-week camp alongside Nigel, his father who has lived with Conor day to day, beginning to end. Having spoken to Conor personally in length surrounding the subject and listening to him, I support him as a coach and a friend.
“We are determined to get to the bottom of this as a team, working closely with Conor’s legal advisors in an effort to understand the meaning of the ‘adverse finding’ and resolve this matter urgently. Thank you for your continued support, TS.”
fornicate off Tony it's a POSITIVE test.
They're trying to spin this as some mistaken results due to incorrect testing procedure or contamination. The cheek here is just breathtaking.

fair point but would the rehydration clause still be in place? I wouldn't imagine so
nonetheless i always thought Carl was among the straighter shooters.
Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn | DAZN PPV - 8 October 2022
No he won't because the party line is Conor hasn't failed a test, there were 'adverse findings'
They'll now proceed to con their way into proving Conor's test wasn't actually positive it's all a big mistake and poor Conor is actually a victim. Just like his mate Dillian who obviously never took any Dianabol..

again, though, it's like they read 'Drug Test failures excuses for Dummies' and trolled out every bad cliche from it, to me this stuff makes them more and not less guilty in the eyes of anyone who isn't criminally stupid.

Emphatically this. Tut tut Sims.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 05:24 i'm not sure you're getting it
he's saying he's 'never witnessed a failed drugs test'
what he isn't saying is 'I have never seen a fighter take PED's, or been involved in the administration of PED's, or known of or worked with a fighter who is on PED's, every fighter in my camp has always been and will always be clean'
that is what he (it seems to me) was very careful NOT to say.

Eubank himself seems to be shaking his head more at the fact Benn got caught, not that he was doping. which gives the game away to me

Nigel Benn must be a bit daft , you only fail a drugs test if you take a prohibited item. What is there to find out ?

Those defending Bellew need to have a word with themselves. He’s shamelessly refusing to condemn a fighter being caught cheating so as to be loyal to his paymaster.
Didn’t he earn enough money from fighting the ghost of David Haye to be able to demonstrate some integrity when it’s called for even if it means losing his job.
