Considering nothing has been signed yet, no point overreacting or assuming. If nobody has signed, and no venue has been chosen, you might as well go on a family vacation.

It does beg the question though, if Warren sent the contract to Usyk... why is Usyk saying, "Belly where are you?", could this be some attempt by team Usyk to make it seem like team Fury is dragging heels when the truth is they haven't signed to fight Fury?
Who knows what is in the contract? Is there a shopping list of demands that aren't reasonable? Is it all absolutely fine. Impossible to know, but the absence of news normally means a fight won't happen.

Strange considering the talk is early March. Whilst he won’t need a long camp fitness wise (unless he went mad over Christmas), I’d imagine they’d want a fair bit of time properly preparing for someone like Usyk.

Fury has said for quite a long time that 8 weeks tops is all he needs for a fight of this magnitude. He's done that for Wilder. So nothing out of the ordinary here.

The 2 dates discussed as being looked at were Feb 18th and March 4th. Both less than 8 weeks away.

I also think Wilder, after previously beating him, is easier to prepare for than Usyk.

His bodyguard, Brendan, is posting pictures of them all training, tagging Morecambe Bay, but it looks remarkably bright for Morecambe. Still, they're in a gym.

Be a much easier assignment for Fury than the middleweight, so it's probably in the works

I remember a couple of kick-boxers/mma puncher types hyping a switch to boxing - Badr Hari and Andrei Arlovski, and neither materialised into actually having a pro boxing fight. Arlovski was even sparring at Freddie Roach’s gym. Both were pretty chinny. Presumably there’s been others.

Arum: Usyk Wants 50-50 For Fury Fight; That's Not Right If Their Fight Is At Wembley

“Everybody agreed that if [Saudi Arabia’s] offer comes through and it’s real, that’s how we’ll go,” Arum, whose company co-promotes Fury with Warren’s Queensberry Promotions. “If not, we’ll do the fight at Wembley.”

“The fighters have agreed to fight,” Arum said. “I spoke to Frank W. We’re giving them until [this] week to come with their offer, which I believe we’ll get. If we don’t, then we’re gonna do the fight at Wembley. And then we’d have to talk about the percentages because Usyk wants 50-50. That’s not right if the fight’s at Wembley because there will be 95,000 Brits at the fight and big Brit pay-per-view money, so Tyson deserves the lion’s share.

“But we don’t get to that point if the [investors in Saudi Arabia] come through, because the way they operate is they make deals with each of the fighters. We’ve been led to believe that they’re going to come with a proposal [this] week. I’ll believe it when I see it, but it’s not like they haven’t come through in the past.”

If the fight happens in the UK I can see the point of giving Fury the Lion's Share considering it is going to be majority Tyson Fury fans coming to the event. It don't have to be 60/40 it can be some sort of unique number like 55/45, and regardless the Ukrainian should not be complaining considering it would be the most amount of money he's ever made anyways.

That’s not necessarily true. The Saudis by most accounts paid crazy money for the AJ/Usyk rematch. If the Fury/Usyk fight happens at Wembley then it wouldn’t surprise me if he makes less than he did for AJ.

So been discussing the fight for ages and still not confirmed location or splits.

Nonsense 50/50, that's what was agreed, if they start arguing about splits they clearly don't want the fight.

So when AJ would have been the A side with three belts Vs Fury with a majority of the fans and it would have been the most that Fury had made in his career then the split should have been significantly more in his favour? Goalposts get moved.

How about 60-40 to the winner?

Most should accept that in matches where there's an argument about the A side unless they're not confident that they'll win. Spence/Crawford should be the same if they both think they're the A side.

I'm not sure if Spence-Crawford generates enough money to give them both what they want.

"Belly, where are you?": Tenerife, Morcambe? Starting a training camp, already training? Found his pen, lost his pen? Poor Minicab Mickey's head must be spinning.

That would be their fault though, if they can't generate the interest they only bring to the table what they can. Splits with a preference for the winner make more sense than guarantees when everyone thinks they're worth the world.
