All terms have been agreed.
I reckon it’s announced early next week.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Jermaine Franklin | DAZN PPV - 1 April 2023
If this is PPV it will be unbelievable, even Fury's comeback fights were on normal TV before he went to Vegas. Put this on normal DAZN as a reward for those who have stuck with it with nothing to see
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Jermaine Franklin | DAZN PPV - 1 April 2023
Hearn was hinting it wouldn’t be PPV two days ago. I know his track record isn’t great but if they announce PPV in a few days he’ll look a bit daft

He might have just said it for the sake of it.
All he said was it might be PPV or it might not.
I do think it would do them a lot of favours for it to be on regular sub.

He knows he has a Summer Stadium fight with AJ set up after this most likely.

Finally put the poll on this.
Not 100% confirmed but this close to the date, I don’t see it being anyone else.

Yeah - but Fury vs Schwarz and a close to unknown Wallin were PPV over here.
I think this will be on regular DAZN or perhaps at a lower price point.

They were both after the Wilder fight. By then any future fight was definitely gonna be PPV.maverick23 wrote: ↑03 Feb 2023, 15:40Yeah - but Fury vs Schwarz and a close to unknown Wallin were PPV over here.

Hearn hits out at haters
“The haters go, ‘Jermaine Franklin? Oh, what a [bad] fight,’” Hearn told The DAZN Boxing Show. “At the same time those same haters say that Jermaine Franklin won the fight against Dillian Whyte by three or four rounds. F--- me. You can’t have it [both ways]. So what? So, he didn’t win that fight? That wasn’t a great performance by Jermaine Franklin? Apparently, Anthony Joshua has no confidence. He’s a shot fighter. He’s finished, but he’s coming off those defeats to fight a guy that you said just beat Dillian Whyte by three or four rounds.”
“He don’t want any easy fights,” Hearn said. “Franklin [is] gonna be a great fight. And I’m telling you, Anthony Joshua is coming back with a vengeance in the heavyweight division."

He is playing that "this is what everyone else thinks" narrative but what is his narrative as the matchmaker? HE believes that Whyte beat Franklin so HE is serving us up AJ Vs a guy that HE believes just got beaten by Whyte while saying that everyone else should want it.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Feb 2023, 12:42 Hearn hits out at haters

Eddie was confident of the Whyte Franklin decision at the time.
And the fact it was even close shows only how shot to sh*t Whyte is now, not how good Franklin actually is, which isn't that good.

Hearn is definitely missing the bigger picture, which is knowledgable fight fans know these fighters are pants and should never have have a sniff of PPV. I’d wager you could have put Franklin in with obscure journeyman Artis Pendergrass in a Fort Launderdale fight back in 1996, and he probably would have been shown up! These heavyweights are just embarrassing.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Jermaine Franklin | DAZN PPV - 1 April 2023
I’ve read on Twitter that apparently, Franklin has NOT signed a contract yet.
But he tweeted the above a day ago.
Was thinking it will be announced tomorrow but that now may be pushed back.

Someone gotta remind him about Jerry Forrest.
He lost to Whyte. He didn't do enough. Whyte pushed the action at least, landed the biggest shots and stole the ending.
It'll be a shocker, if Fat Jermaine goes aggressive against Joshua.
