Duran unfortunately fought for too long and so in the later part of his career he ends up racking the losses to guys who couldn’t tie his shoes in his prime. Kirkland Laing and Robbie Sims beat him by split decision very famously.
That’s what I found really interesting about this thread or looking for guys to suit the thread, even if the threshold for good is on the low side. So many great fighters lost to a nobody coming up or more often than not, fought for too long and lost to at least one guy that wouldn’t have been good enough to be a sparring partner in their prime.

Eder Jofre only lost to Fighting Harada.
Carlos Zarate only lost to Wilfredo Gomez, Lupe Pintor (well, he won but officially "lost), Jeff Fenech, Daniel Zaragoza, all hall-of-famers.
Felix Trinidad only lost to hall-of-famers Bernard Hopkins, Winky Wright, Roy Jones.
