By contrast, in spite of all their foibles, the leading promoters are fascinating characters. Love em or loathe em they’re engaging chaps full of chutzpah who command your attention when they speak
Indeed, he's just some patsy Sky picked out to front their failing boxing operation. At this point they'd be aswell just using ChatGPT.

I was wrong,

The more I see him in interviews the more I like his commitment to British boxing. In addition he is starting to get a decent track record in delivering fights and more still an ever increasing stable of fighters.

No longer will Fr*nk & Eddie get things their own way.

And as far as Eddie is concerned the more Ben & Sky deliver the quicker the nails will be hammered into DAZNs coffin.
Lol you are the most simplistic, naive and low brow poster here. You still haven’t answered the David Haye question about PEDS, after getting on your high horse about PED abuse and that users should be banned for life….. lol and imagine saying about that African fighter (Munyai?) that he was too nice to take PEDs.. lol   You know David Haye was juicing, when you were in the camp but it seems you had no problem with that (I imagine cos you’re getting paid…..)

Now you’re bigging up Shalom, a guy who was given his position completely undeservedly due to family connections, has very little boxing knowledge (DKSAB),and has repeatedly vowed to push women’s boxing on us…… and delivers awful shows….

Wow we’re so lucky!

He's not fit to carry FW's bullet proof vest.

Give it five years and he'll be in carphone warehouse if he's banking on the likes of Okolie keeping fans interested.

SKY/Boxxer still haven't got the cross over big name to really draw PPV buys and viewing figures. Okolie is a waste of money as is Buatsi and the many olympians with most of them on the invisible list.

I just don't get what he is trying to do. Gomez v Giles headlining a Next Gen style show in Hull (Giles is from Grimsby) with Codie Smith and Harvey Lambert on the undercard with local ticket sellers would be at least a sign of intent to build for the future.
ps I know Smith isn't with them but should be.

He seems to have no concept of LOCAL talent.

His investors are based in Manchester so I’d imagine he’ll do more shows there that aren’t needed than anywhere else.

Agree though he needs to put more thought in where shows take place to build fighters properly and give people there and watching at home a better atmosphere.

True. The undercard can be vital to selling tickets and you'd think he'd try and get as much local talent on as possible.

Chief support in Scotland (Taylor v Catterall) - Cuba v Ireland
Chief support in London (Shields v Marshall) - America v America
Chief support in Newcastle (Marshall v Hermans) - Albania v Wales
Chief support in Cardiff (Eubank v Williams) - America v Slovenia

It's bizarre how he keeps getting London fighters and taking them up north despite there being about 6 venues in London to use.

Why hasn't he gone for the Scottish lads? They had a great Commonwealth team and always turn out to support their own.

I have read a lot of the answers on here ref Ben.

I respectfully disagree with many of you who have chosen to be negative towards him.

The new frogs clearly haven't a clue how bad it was when Warren was SKY. It was bad, you'd know that though if you was here at the time. He tried to shut the forum down because of how much negativity there was towards his entire outfit.

He got himself into a lucrative exclusive deal by being required to put on championship fights and got round it by having intercontinental championship fights. It was common knowledge at the time how naive SKY had been.

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but I think we’d be hard pressed to find a slower year for U.K. shows on Sky Sports in the first 4 months of any year.

2 U.K. shows that were were average at best I’d say plus a reasonable PPV.
