Eubank Jr is a gatekeeper and Benn is a gobby twunt who hasn't achieved anything of note and specialises in taking his wife's fertility medication.

Who going to buy that?
It will be one of the biggest fights in British boxing history, outside of the heavyweights it will be the biggest, bigger than their dads
Can’t agree with that Coco.

Their dad’s fight was huge. They signed their contracts live on TV and everyone was talking about it. Even my mum and sister watched it.

These two haven’t crossed over like that.

It will, however, have intense interest amongst anyone with at least a passing interest in boxing because of all the shenanigans.
I meant the money, it will create a lot of interest though, but I'll certainly concede they haven't created the buzz that their fathers did but everyone over 45 will want to see it because of their dads

Can look all he wants , if the BBBC say he's not fighting and Eddie goes on with it , theres a good case for them to strip Eubanks and Hearn of there liscences , but WOULD THEY probably not but even if they threaten too doubt Hearn and /or Eubank would risk it

Its amazing how low he willing to stoop these days. If he puts a pedless benn in at 160 with Eubank, hes basically cashing in on him now.

In the same breath he's saying AJ wont wait forever for the saudi backers for the wilder fight, and that AJ will fight somebody else instead. Take the bull by the horns, do yer job, make AJ/Wilder yer december/jan stadium fight or vegas. Put some old fashioned work into making the proper fights. The slippery pudendum!

Eubank Jr. on Facing Benn: "I'm The A-Side, He Needs To Be Fully Acquitted, 100% Clear To Fight"

"Absolutely. He lost all his privileges when he failed those drug tests a year ago. I'm the A side. I'm the shot-caller in that fight. It will happen. The fight will happen. I can't tell you when it will happen. He still has a lot of issues to smooth out and I have a lot of options to weigh up," Eubank explained to Sky Sports.

"That fight [with Benn] doesn't need to be rushed in anyway, in my opinion. Conor Benn isn't going anywhere. The timing has to be right and he does need to be fully acquitted of the situation he's in. He can't have any appeals going on with the Board. He can't have any drug agencies having him on a banned list or whatever the case may be.

"He has to be 100 percent clear for that fight to go ahead. As far as I'm concerned at this moment in time he isn't. So that's why I can't say when that fight will happen. But it will happen."

I think they will box and I think it will sell.
I’d rather it didn’t happen, I won’t ever watch Benn again.

Tony Sims did an interview a couple of days ago saying they’ve delayed the appeal.

Not sure if that’s correct or how it works but it doesn’t really seem fair that it can be dragged on indefinitely.

Sims talks nonsense. It hasn't been delayed, they're just building their case. Standard process.

Yeah - I thought that may be the case but even still there should be a time limit on it. It was August 17th when it was reported that the board/UKAD wee appealing the decision.

They would have already put the work in putting a case together for the original NADP c.2 months ago.

They can't call up someone who doesn't hold their licence.

But they wanted the dossier and rightly so, if they have grievances about him fighting then arrange a meeting or something ffs, the BBBC are MIA at all the times you need them and their dealings always drag on fae too long, talk about being efficient, they are fckn useless unless someone has a line of coke

Not sure how many more times I need to say this. THE BRITISH BOXING BOARD OF CONTROL is not fit for purpose. Still can't work out why anyone pays them. Someone please explain why?

The fight will happen and it will sell out. The board will cave in because they are weak, and the fans will come purely for the family rivalry. Personally,if the fight is made at 160lbs Eubank will carry Benn for as long as he feels like it imo

Man, started this thread at the beginning thought this was set for Oct 8th 2023, quick turnaround but thought Hearn was trying to keep Junior down at the unnatural weight, made sense only for that reason.

No way they get Eubank at less than 160 this time, those photos of Jr last time round were damaging for the sport.

Hearn on Benn: "Our Plan, Ideally, is To Fight Chris Eubank Jr. in December"

“We want the Eubank fight. It’s the biggest fight in British boxing, outside AJ v Fury and right up there with it. We want to fight in the UK. Conor won his case. He was cleared, his suspension was lifted and I keep hearing this ‘he was not cleared’. If he wasn’t cleared he wouldn’t be allowed to fight on Saturday," Hearn said.

“The Association of Boxing Commissions would not lift their suspension of Benn until it was confirmed to them by the British Boxing Board of Control that he was no longer suspended and therefore he was cleared to fight. So our plan, ideally, is to fight Chris Eubank Jr in the UK in December. We’ve already had offers from a number of international venues to stage that fight, but I would like to try and make that fight in the UK.

“We were made aware a few weeks ago or a month ago that there would be an appeal – we’ve heard nothing more, no dates for that appeal. We’re not sure if that will take place or when it will take place, but this man’s free to go back to work and that’s what we’ve decided to do.”
