Zhang's trainer, Shaun George: "It's a knockout. It's the only chance we have. I don't trust the politics in this sport. I don't understand the referees and judges here. There's only one mission - this fight will not be going the distance."

Yes, this is where boxing is in 2023.

Zhang remains the outsider, the so-called B side.

Anyway, I'm hoping Joyce can pull through tonight, but I'm not confident. Zhang has awfully fast hands for such a big man.

Just what adjustments can Joe make this late in his career?

From what I've read online, Zhang seems to be the clear favourite amongst the neutrals. There is a consistent opinion that Zhang is 'all wrong' for Joe.

Of course the Brits would tend to favour Joyce's chances, but the bookies don't.

They have Zhang as the slight favourite.

It's often quite telling when the home fighter is not the favourite.

Zhang is a great puncher but has poor endurance. If joyce covers up more early he can outwork zhang.

Heavyweight KO of the year.

Anyone who fights Zhang in China would make a tremendous amount of money.

usyk is a globe trotter, how about a trip to china to fight zhang since fury needs half a billion to make the undisputed happen

I have the feeling that Joyce was scared and did not believe in himself. Zhang, exactly the opposite

It would be a huge, globally significant bout. It'd be a historic first for a Chinamen to challenge for the Heavyweight crown. That alone makes it interesting.

And from the looks of it, Zhang would be quite the challenge for anybody out there right now I think. He might be vulnerable when he gasses, but until then...look out boy

Agreed.

Joyce very tentative, almost as if he knew that Zhang had his number.

Joyce's chin has been impregnable until he faced Big Bang Zhang and during the two fights, every time Zhang landed a haymaker, Joyce was hurt.

He'd probably never experienced that before and it probably sapped his confidence.

The difference in confidence was staggering, Zhang was locked in while Joyce was tentative and flustered
