Some positive news on the best fight in the heavyweight division, for all the titles and some still complaining like their throats have been slashed

Never understood the boxing fan who justifies fighters dragging fights out, this fight should've happened a year and it didn't because of Tyson Fury, hopefully it happens next but I'll refrain from blowing off Fury, he's still a charlatan

It's incredibly exciting this fight. I guess that a lot of people lost confidence in what Fury was saying (" not interested in fighting a Middleweight"; " unification is not important to me" etc etc).

I've seen Bob Arum doing interviews trying to assure people that it is happening because, on a mass scale, it seems fans are taking the view that they will believe it when they see it.

Personally, I'm delighted it is happening. I wish it had happened sooner but think it is a great way to finish off the year. It will be quite something to see them both in the ring together at the same time when the bell goes.

The serious boxing journalists were pretty clear that Usyk had pulled out of the fight in the hope of getting a better deal in Saudi later. Unfortunately lenny you were blinded by the haters and trolls on here.

If Fury did always intend to fight Usyk, then it only adds to the belief that he did already have the Ngannou money grab fight lined up and signed, and deliberately sabotaged the April 29th Wembley date. He wanted to earn some easy money prior to the real test, which is understandable.
I hope he keeps that dodgy elbow away from any clinches with big, strong Francis.🤕🤧🤒

I always found the "Fury is scared" line was far more convincing.....

Serious boxing journalist? If Fury/Fwank told him to sit, lie down, roll over, he'd lie there waiting for his belly to be tickled.

To be fair, boxing Chisora for a third time and then following it up with Ngannou, whilst saying he had no interest in fighting Uysk, was a very good impression of someone not wanting to fight Uysk.

Anyway, it's on and that is a massive boost for the sport.

Pretty surprised everyone thinks this a goer, I'm highly doubtful, remember Fury/Joshua was signed as well, Tyson made a video then as well confirming, no date or venue, far from official especially with Fury involved, maybe an Usyk video might make me less skeptical but for me this isn't on

My thoughts too :verysad:

It's very positive that Usyk is also stating it is signed - but with Fury you can almost guarantee it won't be as straight forward as happening by the end of January 2024.
