EZZARD CHARLES VS ARCHIE MOORE
RESULT: ARCHIE MOORE WINS BY KO IN ROUND 10
The controversy lies in the fact that Ezzard was not in top condition for this particular bout. A few things have been said which I will respond to on this thread:
gilgamesh wrote: 21 Mar 2024, 13:36Why was Ezzard Charles set to be overtrained? Every single other fighter was in Top condition
We don't recognize this result, and demand the fight be run again with both fighters in Top Condition as per the rules of this Season.
I understand your frustration at this and I do sympathise with what has happened.
BoxBuzz wrote: 21 Mar 2024, 14:07Fair request as long as all parties agree. , in week 11 this can be made so. I can not cancel a fight that is in the database. and I have no explanation for the situation...other than human error...or software quirk.
Buzz is speaking accurately once a fight has been run it is stored into the memory banks, As such we have to take it as it comes. Buzz is doing a truly great job as my Joint Commissioner - but even greatness is not perfection and the odd slip up can and will take place. It is just unfortunate that it has happened to Mr Gilgamesh.

In a scenario like this we cannot really pick one Manager over another. And even if there was a re-run of the fight, it would mean that Charles and Moore both have one fight more than everyone else - which creates an even greater disbalance in the season...

The Solution - 3 things

1. The result will stand as is...

2. Ezzard Charles will be handed a "money in the bank" title shot for the WBC title which he can activate at any time.

3. Also - next week all fighters are going to come in as overtrained - all except Ezzard of course.

The result stands and rightfully so as Archie won fair and square he did nothing but send Charles sleep

But If he wishes to cash in his money in the bank title shot for the Whiny B*tch Charles title Moore is more than happy to put him to sleep  once again even while overtrained

Also, if Charles was to accept, he'd be the IBO champ for two defenses. After that it would be vacated for two fighters to be chosen.

In our record books the fight goes down as a No Contest, and next week I'm making my 3rd title defense in a 3rd fight with Moore to settle the issue.

Enjoy your ill gotten gains while you have them. It will not last.
