Dricus looked at times to be fucked and Adesanya was really laying into him with quality body shots, moving well, out landing him with more accurate strikes. But Dricus can really soak it up and his power is of the bone crunching variety even tho his punches look pretty awkward. He kept the pressure on and finished a hurt Isreal with a decent choke on the ground. It was a great battle.
Watching how he destroyed Robert Whittiker shocked me, his step in jabs nearly took Robs face off.

DDP once again doing it with the most punishing yet clumsy style ever seen for a champion who can be a future HOFer. I almost laughed when he stumbled towards hitting Adesanya with the head.
Kara-France blitzed his way to a title shot. Gamrot/Hooker was a banger and I am glad to see Dan coming back and dishing his whipping on such a valued opponent; back in the top 5!

I wanted Shawn to win the first fight but since then I like Dricus more. He seems a very thoughtful guy where as Strickland is more of an idiot type fighter. DuPlessis tries to finish fights so I prefer his style of fighting also.

But as with boxing, when you have a name with massive charisma and a good level of skills, and they get talked about and written about in major media outlets…. it not only brings cash to the game it brings new fans. Yes he’s an arrogant so and so not as good as many other lesser known fighters, but no one done as much for the sport as him.
For that reason I’m not a hater. I doubt he’ll come back to the UFC (and Michael Chandler will continue to starve ) - prob do some Jake Paul style fights for big money…. I just don’t think he can put the required effort in again to compete in UFC. Those silk pyjamas are too comfortable

Totally agree about his star power mate, he was the PPV daddy and before he started denigrating people for having less dough than him, I thought he was ok. Since then, I’ve met a few folk who know him well and they say he is and always has been a nasty bullyboy, so not my kinda guy at all. Yeah you can see that in him. Which is odd as Jones must be coming to the end. Jones should be stripped of the title truthfully. Keeping alive the Stipe fight, when Miocic hasn’t won a fight for 4 years is pathetic. As to Tom’s chin - it has been checked. Pavlovic banged him and Aspinall didn’t blink. .
I just love the whole game in general, the best fight the best One of the good things about the UFC promotional monopoly. Merab and Suga will be a great fight also. The sport has taken almost everything that’s wrong with boxing and turned it around into what we should be getting. I like Sean to some extent thought his lifestyle and facial tattoos turn me off. As for comparisons to boxing - UFC has a huge advantage that’s impossible in boxing. UFC basically has a monopoly and is both an governing body (like WBC) AND a promotional organisation. This can never happen in boxing. Also MMA doesn’t have the Muhammad Ali act.
If Connor fights or doesn’t fight again I don’t care. He’s fucked with the Roids and Charlie anyway he won’t beat anyone in the top 5 again imo. Exactly. I don’t believe he will fight again in the UFC
