Same as women's football other female sports than tennis. Why would anyone want to waste their time watching inferior athletes? It's like passing up a steak in favour of a McDonald's.

A handful managed to be popular--like Katie Taylor. Until fans realised the division has about as much depth as a puddle.

The female sport experiment has been a failure.
I agree. I actually prefer watching women's tennis but I can't think of any other sport I would go out my way to watch. Lack of talent and depth is a big issue and that can apply to mens boxing sometimes, more so at the very lightest weights.

Right. people want to see the best. And that will always be men
People watch non-league football which is not the best. People also watch regional and domestic level boxing because there can be competition there. I think what most people want is competition and excitement. Obviously higher skills lead to that but I'm sure people would rather watch Taylor vs Serrano 2 instead of Joyce vs Kash Ali for example.

Ok
You completely ignored your own statement which was about what people want to see, not who wins when they go head to head.

Tennis is probably the best womans sport i think overrall, i really got into the Jasmine Paolini wimbeldon run, great drama in the semis against Donna Vekić.

I may start calling her Sven Nicholson from now on then

I think she's miles apart from Nicola Adams, who was a genuine pro bore.

But each to their own. Some of these women boxers are simply very poor but she's not one of them.

Don't watch it never really have and i doubt i will in the future , Did watch it once i watched the Irish girl Taylor , don't know who her opponent was but it was actually a good fight , based on that i tried to watch a couple of others but Naaw , 1 rnd in went to make a coffee , made a phone call whatever it took not to watch .

Skye Nicolson , well she's Aussie , so i knew of her but in all honesty never watched her , i just don't like women boxing , and thats if they have the talent , I'm chauvanist and believe womens bodies are made for having babys , not fighting , how many in the future are gonna take punches to the boobs , then complain they have problems and it was the mens fault for letting them fight .

Even if one has talent there usually the only one , the river is so shallow its impossible to find a dozen in the same weight who are the same talent .

Its run its course , lack of talent which was'nt helped by putting the likes of Ebanie Tits on and expecting people to pay good money to watch it , , I don't think having big tits and wearing skimpy underwear is really enough to put them on when theres so many males out there who have been boxing for years and have the talent just not the opportunity

Don't mean to be unnecessarily unreasonable but to me and the fights I have watched, its just been of an awful standard and this includes the 'elite' fighters, Katie Taylor or whoever else is considered 'elite'. Just awful, to the point I cannot / refuse to watch.

So for me, its a non starter anyways.

At least Chrissy Martin, Laila Ali and Annie Wolfe could actually box a bit and their skills blow anything around today, completely out of the water.

Not sure there was a 'bubble' to begin with. More a case of forced upon on us and those types of actions, invariably fail.

Could be wrong, though.

Don't know if it counts , but I follow drag racing and in Europe and the States the ladies seem to be the best drivers .

It takes more bottle to drive a top fuel car than anything I know and that includes getting punched for a living and the women have it in spades .

Just to put another point of view to the post about women and sport in general .

The prob with that is, the Welsh girl has just come through and will be difficult to beat, but it's just tip tap, prob too much of an amateur style, maybe need to be around more pro gyms

Tennis is really the only sport where the women's version is as popular as mens.

The rest--whether its boxing, UFC, football, basketball ... it's always just a crappier version.

Women's gymnastics is still popular than the men's regardless. The men don't even have stars.

Was there ever really a Female Boxing Bubble to burst to begin with? Boxing is a niche sport as is. The least watched portion of what is already a niche sport didn't have much steam to lose to begin with.

There was a time, not even too long ago where it was being pushed down our throat..
