Rank best wins of Tommy Morrison

Post by DrDuke »

1. Old George Foreman. Old, but still credible, the former and the future champion, the legend.
2. Razor Ruddock. Great to watch, the classic 90s slugfest.
3. The Truth Williams. The last credible version of Williams. Morrison placed Carl's career in its final stage in another great slugfest.
4. Joe Hipp. A tough journeyman, but a nice slugfest, where Morrison suffered a broken jaw.
5. Pinky Thomas. Old and shot, just a good name.
6. Quick Tillis. A tough in the past, but shot journeyman.

It may not have seemed that way when it happened, but in retrospect I'd say his best win is probably Foreman consider that Foreman defeated Michael Moorer for the World Title in his very next bout.

Must've been very frustrating for a lot of the division to see Foreman get that shot coming off a loss, but he was a star, and thought to be an easy opponent for a 1st title defense so it happened.

historically it was Foreman but he looked best with Thomas. Devastating power, aggression. Of course, Thomas had already been beaten by Tyson and then Holyfield, but it was still impressive. The fight with Ruddock was very good but they both had it before, if they had met in 1990 it would have been much more impressive
