UNBEATEN HEAVYWEIGHTS 100% KO RECORDS. THE CHART RUNDOWN.....
It`s a particularly parched time ATM but here's the rundown of 100% KO streaks.
The only significant one belongs to USA`s Richard Torrez*
The rest are a mixed bunch to say the least.
Little info, or even a photo of the other America Kashaun Davis but he has fight number 10 lined up.
Just managing to break into the charts is last placed Hovhannisyan with 6 ko`s. This big lug is only 26 and made an early impact hammering Coffie a while back but has done little else of note since then.
A `benin warlord` and the `last viking` make up some of the least familiar names.
All and all its a very dry chart indeed.
*Torrez`s run officially ended in his last fight but I'm ignoring the antics of the naughty little Joey D and still have Torrez at number one with 11 big ko`s.
Richard Torrez Jr. 11-0 (11) USA 25
Riza Baydilli 10-0 (10) Germany 43
Kashaun Davis 9-0 (9) USA 25
Ede Omoregie 9-0 (9) UK 32
Temur Mamoyan 8- 0 (8) Germany 33
Thomas Narmo 8-0 (8) Germany 30
Joey Gonzalez 7-0 (7) USA 28
Antonio Carlesimo 7-0 (7) Italy 28
Ehsan Rouzbahani 7-0 (7) Iran 36
Marko Bozovic 7-0 (7) Montenegro 31
Bilal Kara 7-0 (7) Turkey 32
Gurgen Hovhannisyan 6-0 (6) USA 26

I'd bet that Torrez and Gurgen are the only ones we'll hear from in the future.

Wonder what happened to Rostislav Plechko https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/748865
He was 13 fights , 13 KO's and all in the first round! Then he suddenly disappeared/retired.

Re: UNBEATEN HEAVYWEIGHTS 100% KO RECORDS. THE CHART RUNDOWN.....
It’s such a mysterious thing the boxer who inflates there record massively but has no hype so will probably not get a chance to cash in.
Like are these just people with decent money and huge egos and so line up some cans for fun/bragging rights?
Like riza… 43, what could that be? My personal bet is a shady underworld type that loves boxing and has money so is just buying some cans, becoming 10-0 and getting a “world title”… somthing he can say to his mates and/or kids who don’t know better. I mean it’s probably not that, but seriously what could it be….

That was some record. There were one or two low level recognizable names on there at least. Brings to mind the big ko streak of David el no Rodriguez.
What happened to plechko ?

I mean really Torrez jr’s 100% streak ended the last fight thanks to our very own Joey who was DQ’d.

I've seen DQs which should have been TKOs. The ref is correctly stopping the fight and the guy on the losing end hits low.tiny_acres wrote: ↑08 Dec 2024, 16:04100% agree with this.Tony1244 wrote: ↑08 Dec 2024, 12:39DQs should always count as stoppages.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑08 Dec 2024, 07:13 I mean really Torrez jr’s 100% streak ended the last fight thanks to our very own Joey who was DQ’d.

Boxers that get DQ’d just ruin their records and their opponents. They just trying to save themselves getting KO’d

Technically a DQ is an inside the distance win. A stoppage. I mean a technical decision before the full rounds is also inside the distance but for me DQ counts as inside the distance rather than points win.

It all depends how you define KO. Strictly a KO is technically a full 10 count.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑10 Dec 2024, 11:42 do you consider a dq a knockout though?

I'm a big Torrez fan. He looks more serious, now he's cut off the 'fro and 'tash.
