I think he is clearly going to be the best Heavyweight from Australia in a few years baring a move up from Jai. I have had an eye on his career for a few years and think he was very unlucky with the draw at the Olympics or he would have won a medal.
Very frustrated with the absolute victims they are feeding him. Next up he is fighting a guy from Germany ranked 284 on Boxrec. Australia has eight guys ranked in the top 150. Surely one of those could have taken the fight.
How do you rate Teramoana Jr as a prospect.

i like him a lot. serious power and pretty quick for a giant, improved a lot since he returned to the ams for his olympic run. at international am level its very rare for someone to score stoppages as consistently as he did.
the opposition is meh but he only just signed with matchroom, so i can excuse it for now. at least hes being kept active with his 2nd fight in under a month scheduled

He has the goods but his next opponent, Osasu Otobo has a terribly padded record.
Otobo was stopped in 2 rounds by Umut Camkiran, one of his few opponents that had a positive record.
This 6 rounder will not see out the distance.

Rising heavyweight star Teremoana Teremoana Jr has demolished Germany’s Osasu Otobo in just 57 seconds with a devastating first round KO.
Teremoana dropped Otobo with a massive left hand and Otobo could not rise before the 10-count.

We will know more when he fights a live opponent. He’s only 6 fights in and can be brought along sensibly as he is still only 26

Yep but in the meantime i know i for one , get sick off watching mismatches , , theres building up a carreer and thers pisstake , , that last fight was like bringing an olympian back and putting him in with the guy who could'nt win against the drunk at the Brophy boxing tent , complete mismatch and wste of time , whats more they would of scoured the world looking for him , correct record , for no talent .Les Norton wrote: ↑11 Jan 2025, 17:55 We will know more when he fights a live opponent. But he does suggest potential

Re: How do you rate Teramoana Jr as a prospect.
he's been back at the pros for a grand total of 1 month, in which time he's had 2 fights already
i dont like extended streaks of can crushing, but give the guy a bit of time to get rolling
this year he should at least fight a good gatekeeper. get him rounds vs a durable journeyman type, even if that means facing someone with a poor win-loss ratio, then a step up to fight someone like joe goodall, kingsley ibeh, or bohdan myronets. and that's at minimum, if he's blazing through dudes still, put him up even further
physically and offensively, he's one of the most impressive hw prospects ive seen for a bit. 6'6, in shape at 265, with big power in both hands and pretty good hand speed for a giant. but we've all seen guys who look great on top and then crumble when met with a resilient foe, so it's important he's developing a good all around boxing game too

Yep, cannot disagree with you about the mismatches as I don’t think they really help a rising fighter.coneye wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025, 20:45Yep but in the meantime i know i for one , get sick off watching mismatches , , theres building up a carreer and thers pisstake , , that last fight was like bringing an olympian back and putting him in with the guy who could'nt win against the drunk at the Brophy boxing tent , complete mismatch and wste of time , whats more they would of scoured the world looking for him , correct record , for no talent .Les Norton wrote: ↑11 Jan 2025, 17:55 We will know more when he fights a live opponent.
