Rohan Polanco vs Karen Chukhadzhian (potential WBO eliminator)

Post by EdwardRevolver1993 »

Both Polanco and Chukhadzhian are fresh off wins, that might put them in the WBO's TOP-3, when the new rankings will be released in June.

On May 4th in Las Vegas, Polanco routed Fabian Maidana on the undercard of Inoue-Cardenas and won the WBO Inter-Continental title.

Chukhadzhian, on his part, bested Cristian Javier Ayala this past Saturday and obtained the WBO International belt in Rostock, Germany.

Something tells me their paths might cross pretty soon, given their high standings within the WBO rankings.

And why not? Could be an interesting fight, with the winner becoming mandatory for Brian Norman Jr.

Who'd you pick to win, should they fight each other next?

From what I see now, Polanco still has holes in his defense that Karen probably will be able to exploit. Plus, Polanco seems to be a bit flat-footed. However, he's physically big and is quite explosive on the offense.

Speaking about the possible outcome... I assume, that if the fight takes place in the US on the Top Rank show - Polanco is very likely to be treated like the A-side. Especially, if the fight will be close.
